firegoddess, thanks for the advice. I will try the blanket thing. My husband goes to work at 4:30am and thought he saw a cat that looked like blue up the street, but the cat disappeared when he stopped his car to see. So I went out last night and walked around are new neighborhood and left a sock of Ricks and one of blues old toys for landmarks, then walked up and down a few blocks brushing past all the bushes and trees with my long coat to get a scent on everything I passed. And yes, I can agree, keeping him in when he gets home will be the way to go. Our new house is plenty big for him to run around and chase toys in. Alot of windows too, so he can bask in the sun. Well, I guess I better start looking for a good blanket to use. Thanks again!

I hope you find him!!

My kitty is also an indoor kitty for this reason. I''d die if something happened to her.

Legacygirl, yeah, we are very sad about Blue! I''m going to do the blanket thing again up some different streets. I really do hope he finds his way home! Thanks for the reply!

I''m so sorry he''s not home yet.

Thanks Gypsy! I am getting slightly discouraged about him coming home, but am still actively looking. My renter at the old house asked me to pet sit for him while he is out of town and I was delighted. I figured it would give me a chance to hang at the old house while playing with his cats and dogs, and I could call for Blue while I am there. I keep hoping he will show up at the old house.

I hope so too!!!

I hope he shows up at some point while you are pet sitting

Any news on Blue?
The family cat went missing when we moved years ago - we kept her in for a couple of weeks so she could adjust etc but she still went wandering. I remember crying myself to sleep on a regular basis ( I was about 9!) Luckily the address and phone number were on her collar and a month later we got a phone call asking if we had lost a cat as she was a mile up the road. I was sooooo happy!! A family had been feeding her which was why she had hung around that area for so long We think she had been trying to get "home" and got lost and luckily found a constant food supply so decided to stay put!! (predictable for our cat!)
I''m keeping my fingers crossed Blue is somewhere close and that you find him.

I''m sorry to hear this.

I;m hoping Blue with come back at some point very soon.

Our cat went missing for almost 3 months shortly after we moved house. We were absolutely devastated but never gave up hope. One day she just turned up, all dirty and skinny, but she was home.

I''m sending you and Blue lots of luck and prayers. HUGS too.
