Hi all great to come on board.

BLUF (bottom line up front)
I know you've heard it before but I am about to propose to the love of my life and need your expert help on finding the perfect diamond!
I have been meticulously doing research for about a couple months now and have determined that the "cut" is by far the most important factor in choosing my diamond.
That being said since I have only a budget of around $10K for the diamond I have come to the realization that I can lower my requirements for Color (I) and Clarity (SI1 eye clean) as long as I use a site that has actual pictures of the diamond.
That's where it gets fuzzy for me ... I just watched a video where they explained that "sparkle" can be affected by lower girdle length so I am fully on board with that concept now.
Problem is that when I search for diamonds and see all those pretty photos thru ideal scope or the virtual loop I dont know whats constitutes a better (sparkle) diamond for my needs.
Already found the setting which will be a knock off of the harry winston halo cushion cut setting just need the ice now.
I know right now is a horrible time to find a diamond since Valentines day just passed and all of my saved diamonds on all the sites have disapperaed but please help a hopeless romantic ... just gave her 108 roses (read online it means "you mean everything to me") for Vday - de thorned / de leafed / cut / arranged all by hand because I know she appreciates effort along with result.
I was () close to buying a blue nile signature diamond sight unseen 2 months ago and I am eternally grateful to have found this forum because I feel like that would have been like buying a painting without seeing its beauty.
Can anyone help me find something please?
