Hi PSers! I've been reading posts here for quite some time and am incredibly impressed with the knowledge i've gained from browsing all the threads. I'm looking to reset my engagement ring for a Christmas (well, now i guess it will have to be birthday) present and have been eyeing Ritani's Halo-French setting found here: http://www.ritani.com/engagement-ri...-band-engagement-ring-in-18kt-white-gold/4573
I had ritani deliver the setting to a local jeweler and went in with my hubby to look at it and am absolutely in love. They put in a sample diamond and i love how low it sits and how comfortable it is.
I know there are some pretty strong opinions out there on pave settings and making sure they're of good quality, so I just wanted to get some thoughts/opinions on making this purchase.
Specs: It would be reset with my old stone: 1.21 RB, G, VS2, very good cut

Thank you!! :appl:

Ritani usually does excellent work and I think this setting is lovely. Since it's in your budget and you've actually seen it, tried it on, & love the look and feel, I think you should get it (if you haven't already ;)) )! The only input I'd give you is to see if there's a matching wedding band that comes with it or what your jeweler would suggest for you. I couldn't tell exactly, but it looks like the head might sit low enough that you wouldn't be able to wear a WB flush against your ER. That's the only thing I'd suggest you look into further.

That said, I'm definitely not an expert, and if you're interested in going "custom", I'm sure there are plenty of PS members who can steer you in the right direction.
Whatever you decide, it's most important that YOU LOVE it! :appl: :appl: :appl:

Beautiful and a better price than you can do high quality custom. I'd definitely get platinum since it is only $200 more than wg!

I have a ritani setting and I find it very good quality! :wavey: I have only been wearing it for a month or so, but ive heard they are extremely durable.
If you love it you should for sure do it!! And i for sure want to see when you are done!
