Hi everyone,
I have always loved halo settings, but initially picked a solitaire with a thin micro pave band for budget reasons. Well, a few months later now I have more wiggle room in my spending, and my fiance and I both found a halo setting that's 100 times more "wow" than what I have, and it's stunning. From the top, it's perfect. But from the side (my view when wearing it) it looks so chunky to me, having gotten used to a much more delicate setting. My current ring has a very thin micro pave band, and also pave around the basket, so I love the view from the side, but from the top it's a little too understated and admittedly I did want something with a bit more wow factor. Now this new ring is the opposite -- a knockout from the top with all the wow factor, but my own side view is not as pretty. Am I just being picky? Does anyone else pay attention to the side view? Let me know if anyone can post pics of their "side views" of halo settings, as I'd love to see if this is normal and just part of getting a nice solid setting!
This is not the ring, but just an example of what I mean by a side view that just feels like a lot of metal:
