Thank you, Matatora, for all your suggesstions on rings! I have visited some of the sites those rings. I really like that first one from bluenile and teh one for $1599 from myjewelrysource.com, the stone looks great! I like more simple and stramlined designs, not too keen on engraving. How about this one?

Okay so you like a stream lined look and yellow sapphires towards the lighter side? Is white metal your prefrence? Do you like the look of a three stone better or more of a center/band theme? Could you tell I was stuck in the computer lab this morning?

Maybe I am just a pushy sort of girl but I told FI EXACTLY what I wanted (setting wise anyways I was more flexable with the center stone). My FI was relieved. It is a lot of pressure for them to pick out your dream ring. Pretty impossible if you want anything besides a solitare. Everyday I look down at my ring I am so glad that I was involved in picking it out. I knew a woman who told her now husband she wanted a princess or RB, well he got her a MQ and three years later she STILL had tears in her eyes when she talked about it. She was so disappointed.
 
Someone mentioned liking the looks of a yellow sapphire with a diamond halo 975$.

As far as the color of the shade of yellow, I dont really care, as long as the whole piece looks good and well put together, nor do I care about the metal type, for the same reasons. But I am not sure what you mean by center/band theme?

I am the only one in the office today, ha!

Looks pretty to me...and if it is exactly what you want why not make it your BF desktop? That would be nice and subtle.

I think I'm leaning towards white gold, because of the contrast to the yellow sapph. The rings you just posted are quite nice, but a little too busy for me. Also leaning more towards yellow sapph, but some blue sapphs that arent too dark are apealing as well.

I can't figure out what my feelings are towards this setting:

I am afraid of really high settings (stones set really high). I do alot of hands on stuff, and work in a chemistry lab weekly, so I want something that wont snag on everything! THose settings are nice, though, I especially like this one, even though its yellow, ther is just something about that pops:

From what site are those yellow and blue sapphs from? What about sapphs for side stones, maybe too much? ( I the ones that are linked, but my question is about the pics with the pairs and such)
 
Those sapphires are from the Natural Sapphire company, but I am not sure about your question? Did you want an all blue or all yellow option? Or did you think sapphire with sapphire was too much? Or did you want a main yellow with blue sides?
