HELP again!! I still have time to change my diamond, but is it worth it? Should I?

If so I would be going 1 color grade lower but up in clarity to "IF".

I wont say which is mines, I just want input first? Based off of the ASET

I just want expert and honest opinions please. Which seems to be the better diamond?

Left or Right?

BUMP....................

Not that I am an expert or anything, but I think the one on the left looks much better. Just one man's opinion.

A couple of the upper break facets on the diamond image on-right deviated from normal indexing in brillianteering. They are either slightly painted or dug, increasing low-angle light draw in those places, seen as green most notably at 10:00.

It's arguable as to how visible this will be on the whole. Under bright lighting I'd wager both diamonds perform with equal intensity. In softer/indirect conditions the 10:00 position on the right diamond may not return dispersion/scintillation to the eye as intensely as the rest of the diamond does.

Thank you for the responses. Would appreciate more :)

Not an expert....my choice would be the one on the left, it looks crisper to me and more appearance of red and therefore less green.

Any opinions are great, therefore thank you for your's. I truly appreciate it =) =)

I also would prefer the one on the left, based on the imagery.

Definitley not an expert speaking here, but from the picture and information, I'd go with the left. That's simply because there seems to be less interference with the stone on the left.

Good luck!! :D

I'd venture to say you'd see little difference between the 2. In fact the star and lower half facets look a little longer in the image on the right as you see more blues coming through there which can sometimes result in more pin flash scintillation.

Otherwise if anything impacts the optics of either diamond negatively it wouldn't be due to cut but perhaps other transparency issues we can't see from images or paper like issues with crystal growth, inclusions, fluorescence etc.

Its not often that sir John and I disagree lately but I have seen images like that from AGS where the actual ASET was just fine and the deviation was scanner error.
So I would change the wording above.

Actual ASET images would answer the question.

I don't disagree. Thank you for the revision Karl.

As a submitter I'd insist that the lab provide a new scan/report if the one they sent was so erroneous. Their scan imprints have improved but we still see aberrations, so we produce actual ASET images for the retailers we serve.
