Hi!

I really hope that you can help me. I have been on what seems to be a never-ending search for a wedding band that will look good with my engagement ring (a 2.3 carat round OEC in the Victor Canera Donna setting - a cushion halo with slight split shank). I have been to 10+ jewelry stores in my area, and unfortunately there is just not much of a selection. I have found some bands that I especially like online, but just don't know how they may look with my ring. And, I do have a very thin low set platinum spacer to wear in between.

I am not one for "matchy matchy" bands, curved bands, and do not need a band to sit flush. I do want a band that will create a visually interesting set. So, I wanted to turn to you all for advice. I am not dead set on any one of the bands I have provided photos of, and definitely welcome any/all recommendations you may have.

Thanks so much!! =)

Oh that French cut with milgraining is gorgeous!!! I am not sure how it would look with your ring though as it looks much wider. I wouldn't mind a minor difference in width as it makes your wedding band stand out, but I think the band would overpower it. If you want visually interesting, how about a band that has some interesting contours?

Here is one example, this style seems to be fairly popular around here! ::)

I would love to see that french cut band with your gorgeous ering!!

I voted for the vintage pave with milgrain but I think the french cut would look lovely as well. I'm a huge fan of milgrain though.

I absolutely love your ring! I'm currently working on custom designing an e-ring with a similar look. Would you mind sharing what size melee you used in the halo? Thank so much!

Hi!

Yes, I am a huge fan of miligrain as well. Unfortunately, there is none on my actual engagement ring, but I am trying to sneak some in with the band!

Victor Canera created my ring. I know that between that halo, shank, and stems under the halo that .92 ct in melee was used, approx. 1.6 pointers. In my opinion, it is a perfect size - not too large and not too delicate.

Hope this helps! Please be sure to come back and share photos as soon as your ring is complete!! :D

I do LOVE the french cuts, unfortunately I've only seen photos online and have never seen a french cut band in person. They look dreamy. If I did not have the pave around my OEC, I would likely jump at a band like that, but it's the pave that is really really throwing me off

I know that the pictures I posted of the princess cut/pave band and the round bezel with miligrain were a little small, so I've attached larger so you can better see detail, and one other band that I just found.

My engagement ring shank is approx. 4 mm wide where the shank splits and at the very side/between the fingers tapers to 3 mm. The band would need to be set pretty low. Here are the widths of the bands that I have posted & detail that I have:

Princess/Pave Band: 5 mm, 1.96 ct, 2.6 mm high
Round Bezel Eternity with Miligraining: 3 mm wide, looks low (don't know how high this is yet)
Victor Canera Pave & French Cut Bands: width could be customized
Marquise Band: 4.2 mm, 2.7 mm high

Thanks to all that have posted advice, I do appreciate it! This is definitely helping! :appl:

Thanks so much for the suggestion - I do like the idea of a band that has a scalloped outline and will have to check this out! I had not seen this before.

As far the the french cut band, I do think this could be made fairly thin but will have to check with Victor! :twirl:

Id honestly get a matching band, whatever matches the shank, but I like matching. You could do one to match the halo, that would be less matchy

You have posted some lovely bands and I'd love to recommend a band. However, I simply can't post a suggestion without actually seeing them together (the e-ring with the bands). I will say though that I have the same dilemma. I am in the process of designing my round halo and I have already started searching for bands that are not matchy-matchy. I was thinking of adding a set of bands (rose gold, yellow gold, platinum) with variations in texture and width.

These are pretty, but I would consider them to be too much when paired with your gorgeous halo.

Hi Michelle,

I know I am resurrecting a VERY old thread but I had no other choice since it appears I am unable to PM you. I am currently in the same predicament you were in 4 years ago when you were trying to decide which wedding band would look nice with your e-ring. I have a round diamond in cushion halo, very similar to yours, and have my heart set on a princess and pave band to go with it. I noticed that band didn't get any votes both times you posted it but I love how the two look together and would like a similar look for my e-ring. Would you happen to remember where you found the princess and pave band? I'm having a tough time finding one and am trying not to have one custom made.

I'm not even sure if you even frequent these boards anymore but I'm hoping it was worth a try. Thanks!
