Thanks to all for the best wishes and your opinions of the setting. She wanted something traditional. Two things that the photos don''t do justice reflecting is how much of the asscher is exposed above the setting ( the crown ) and also how much of the stone can be seen through the basket. This was a really deep asscher, and I think Whiteflash did a very good job designing a setting that is open enough to show a large amount of the stone. I had been worried about this. The end result is that the diamond actually has a lot of fire/bling even from the side view. Hopefully you''ll be able to see this when I get some hand shots in normal light.
