Here We Go Again, Green Diamond

My wife went to a vintage jewelry store and was dazzled by a green diamond. I guess it’s irradiated. I’m just like oh boy, here we go again. I just barely started to understand a little bit about diamonds and she finds irradiated The problem is, I can’t really find any comps. It’s $3500 set in platinum and 1.5ct. She doesn’t “get all that gia stupid stuff” so let’s just assume si1. Here are some bad pictures she took. She said it’s stunning in person. I’m very intrigued by the lack of irradiated diamonds on ebay, etc. Are they pretty neat? Or frowned on? Are they rare?
