Congrats on finally getting the cads!

I agree with less metal will be better. Is it just me or does the halo seem to make the actual stone look smaller? I think it is because of all that metal. The halo seems a little too big. It looks like it is overpowering the stone. Does anyone else see that? or is it just me?
 
Yes Milly I see that too. The stone needs some help as it is on the small side, but don''t want a monster of a halo to over power it too. It''s kind of a difficult problem.
 
0.92 is not small, it''s basically a carat. I think a smaller halo will make the stone look larger and will still allow the stone to shine on its own. Definitely go with a smaller halo. The cads show the halo with a lot of metal. That totally takes away the ring from being delicate. The gallery and profile looks awesome though, so beautiful!

Don''t worry, this ring will be a stunner. We just have to tweek it here and there. Beauty comes with hard work!

I was sorry I missed you too, Noobie. I was anxious to get back over the Wilson Bridge before the real traffic set in -- nearly crashed the car a few times staring down at my hand!! Plus, I hooked up with Nan in a grocery store parking lot just outside the beltway so she could get the first official inspection. That was a hoot!

I see what you mean now. Yes, I would have him remove those bars in the corners of the halo. Maybe they can fit 2 diamonds on each corner now, and it will flow more continuously around the halo. Either way, it is going to be spectacular!!!!!!
 
Thanks Diamondlil, I don''t want those bars at all. I just want one continuous flow of diamonds in the halo. Just like the rings in those pics. I hope that won''t be too much of a problem for them????

I LOVE the CADS!!!!!!! I think they look gorgeous, and not too metal-y for me....they''re going to be great!!!!! I do agree with you though (and w/ what Ana pointed out) that a continuous "flow" of pave (like on Lovey''s) on the halo is going to probably be better than having those little metal "bars." Not that they''d be bad, but I agree w/ you.

The gallery is PERFECT! So excited!!!!!

I just got off the phone with Rose. She is going to send me a cad image without the bars to see what I think. Then You or someone can post them and maybe put them side by side to see what everyone thinks. I did find out that the stones in the halo will be 1.3 mm, whatever that means????? Help!!!

Am I even explaining this right?

I see exactly what your are saying..and you are right. they added two stones...
 
I think I slightly prefer the bars like the Daniel K style. But ever so slightly. Both would be great. I understand what Boom is saying. It looks like they added one stone to take the place of the bars and spread it around the center stone.

OK ETA, I didn't count, but if Mrs Salvo says 2, I believe her.

well, little things like having a equal # would be a must have for me. If they can''t do it for whatever reason, i.e. it would make the halo bigger or something, then I would like to change my vote to with the bars for the symmetry

I think she meant one on each side...I think I like it better with out the bars. But that is prolly cuase I prefer more diamond and less metal. JMO. Either way it is going to be a stunning peice!

i would just ask her if there is a way to add two more stones so you have a balanced number of stones. 3 on the sides and two in the corners??

ETA: there might not be a way to do it b/c of the size of your stone...so they squeezed in two more diamonds to fill the deleted metal space or they would have to re-add the metal bars
