Mari...Virgos are way better than Libras anyway.

I love Virgos. They are, in my opinion, probably the next best thing to a Scorpio. Leo being an extremely close 3rd.

Yay, Cancer, June 22. But, and this is a big but...on the cusp of Gemini. I really feel more like that, since I am not very sentimental, not maternal, not a homebody, don't like to cook...you get the picture. I do however see both sides of an issue, sometimes have a tug of war with myself.

I wrote a very long post about astrology and what all the signs mean, but it got erased 4 times. Arrgh!!





Our sun signs are only one aspect of our personalities. Since Pricescope is a forum, our primary form of communication is through the word. Mercury rules travel, the intellect, and all forms of communication. How we speak or write can show what our mercury sign is. Also, when provoked our mars signs comes screaming out. Mars reveal our anger styles, how we do things, how we react. The moon also reveals our emotional nature because when we have our emotional triggers and buttons pushed, this is likely what motivates us.




Venus rules beauty, art, love, money, and leisure. Our venus sign shows our aesthetic tastes and how we show love. We share pictures of our own jewelry or pieces that we admire. A venus in Leo might gravitate towards more showy, ornate, highly detailed jewelry while a venus in Virgo might admire the Leo's piece, but prefer a more classic or simple piece for her/himself. Not only do we gain intimate knowledge of a person's personal aesthetics, but we can see into their loving natures when we read posts about courtships, proposals, weddings, anniversaries, special events, parenting stories, and bios. Someone could work side by side with a co-worker 8-10 hours a day, daily , for years and never know what some of us have revealed to each other in this forum. It's really amazing if you think about it.




I've enjoyed guessing what signs various people here are and have been right in some cases and wrong in others, but I have to remember that this is just one facet of a very complex, unique individual. Thanks for sharing so openly and generously.

Hey everyone. I am a sagittarius, and have always considered my birthstone to be blue topaz or blue zircon. I also have heard that november is topaz, so perhaps it just means that november is the yellow topaz and december the blue topaz? I'm quite happy with my birthstone because light blues happen to be one of my favorite color gems. Just a thought to explain the confusion.

Actually the confusion over gemstones and birth months are the fault of 19th and 20th century jewelers who "made up" lists of which stones support each month.

Some of the older medieval lists are far more interesting, which show, for example, April's gem as bloodstone (a green stone with red flecks, used for healing blood diseases in olden times).

A fairly recent innovation is the subsitution of tanzanite, for, I believe, the December Birthstone. November has traditionally been topaz, of any color, but jewelers, who are looking to subsitute inexpensive for more costly gems have suggested citrine as the November birth stone.

Actually I believe the original birthstones were taken, in Judaeo-Christian theology, from the High Priest's breastplate...

They were: In the first row there was a ruby , a topaz and a beryl; in the second row a turquoise, a sapphire and an emerald; in the third row a jacinth, an agate and an amethyst; in the fourth row a chrysolite, an onyx and a jasper. Also in two pockets on the inside of the breastplate were two round stones, one that mig.ht have been white quartz, the other either onyx or jet, that had mystical significance as drawing power.

The American National Association of Jewelers made the modern birthstone list public in 1912. It is:

January Garnet, February Amethyst, March Aquamarine, April Diamond, May Emerald, June Alexandrite or Pearl or Moonstone, July Ruby, August Peridot or Sardonyx, September Sapphire, October Rose Tourmaline or Opal or Tourmaline, November Sapphire or Topaz, December Blue Zircon or Turquoise or Lapis Lazuli.

I'm SO happy I found this thread!!!

I am a Scorpio, November birthday, and I have always disliked the yellow topaz/citrine. However, with deep gratitude to Win, I now can officially call sapphires my birthstone, or aquamarines for my astrological sign. And I LOVE both of those (but most especially sapphires)!!!

That's funny, my old boyfriend was a Libra, and that description fits him perfectly! He would change his food order 5 different times...until he would just tell the waitress to surprise him. His "friends" were forever ripping him off, and taking advantage of him! He could be a sweety though!

But...I'm an Aries, and we just don't have enough patience for that kind of stuff!

Oh...and I'm definitely going with my diamond birthstone rather than the bloodstone! Even in my highschool yearbook, it stated that I loved diamonds and wanted to have more gold that Mr. T (Gotta love the eighties!)
