Sorry Karee

I should have let more people guess. I''m a party pooper.

Ha ha! Well, apparently it was obvious, so my game was not so hard! :)

I admit I eyed that stone on Dan''s website many times, so that''s why I knew - I''m attracted to anything with the word "mint" in front of it. Congrats and enjoy!! I think it would look great in a bezel.

I recognized that octagon cut as Dan Stair''s mint tourmaline right away.

Nice gems!! We''re both addicts!! We should join ''Gemstones Anonymous'' - LOL!!
Me too!

They look beautiful!!!

And this Gemstones Anonymous thing---how do we go about joining?!

Oh, I hope you weren''t planning to get it...?

It is gorgeous. I am looking at settings...when you say bezel, do you mean bezel halo with diamonds, or just plain bezel? I''d love to hear your suggestions! I only have one other non-round stone...

Thanks! Taking pics is fun, even if I only have a crappy digital camera.

Ha ha! We can start the group!

No, wasn''t planning on getting it, so don''t feel bad. Even if I was, you still shouldn''t feel bad, all is fair game out there in the gem world. We all find our own treasures!

I''m so happy you''re in love with it. I think a plain gold bezel in yellow gold would be nice.

Whew! Good. I always feel bad if I think I took something someone really wanted.

Maybe I can have Maddy craft me something....ooh, what about rose gold?!?!

I think yellow gold would be best for this one.

Here it is:
Step 1: Log in to vendor''s website on the first of every month
Step 2: Ogle all the latest dops
Step 3: Put everything into the shopping cart
Step 4: Checkout
DONE!

Oh wait, that''s the wrong program. My bad.

OMG!! You are so brave!! I would have been worried the cat would swipe the stones and they''d all go a flyin''! Years ago, my husband was showing a friend a 10 carat fine sapphire (in his kitchen)...of course, like magic (!?) the stone popped out of his hand...and as they all watched...it bounced and tumbled under the cabinet and ...ohhhhhhhhhh nooooooooooo! down through a crack, never to be seen again! His friend, a proctologist, brought over a long tube thing with a camera on it (let us not go there,ha ha) and tried to scope under that floor...but to no avail! [eek!]
The moral of this story is....BE CAREFUL!!!

PS the stones are very pretty!

LOL - what a story! I remember reading once something about a spessartite being eaten and then "recovered" and used in jewellery, but this is something new

Sure!

The two pink/red stones are garnets. The one that's more pink is from John at GemRite (gemrite.com), and the larger, redder one is from Dan Stair (customgemstones.com).

The round green-blue tourmaline is from Barry (acstones.com), and the emerald cut mint tourmaline is from Dan Stair.

The last stone that's already set is a color-shift spinel from Barry.

My older brother was an eater he ate EVERYTHING and anything as a toddler, worms, glass, and my Mom''s Ruby ring!!More than 50 years later she still complains about what she had to go through to retrieve that ring!!! Hmmm, I wonder where that ring is now?? I''ll have to ask!
