High color OMCs for your viewing pleasure

Thank you for sharing your wonderful experience and educating us! What a treat to see other rings but I think we are all waiting on your finished product. It's going to be such a beauty!!!

Wow, thank you so much for posting photos to share with us, LLJsmom! Seeing high-color diamonds are such a treat. Are the settings you tried on in VC's office real platinum and 18K gold sample settings he has available all the time? Looking forward to your new ring!

These were so good! What a fun trip and I am so happy you and JDDN went together!

I love the Tiffany antique asscher/ec (looks more like an asscher to me with the windmills meeting in the center as far as I can tell)!!! My setting inspiration for my antique asscher was also an antique Tiffany ring with tab prongs.

I also would love to play in Victor's box of jewels! Such beautiful pieces! I can't wait to see how you reset your diamond!

I'm super excited to see what you've gone with for your reset - that octagonal halo is fantastic (just saying ).

Hi Skhii, All of the pieces that I saw in his office are platinum. There were so many pieces that I didn't even try them all on. I should have. I wish I asked to see his stones too. We were so focused on discussing the reset that I forgot.

Thanks everyone for your positive vibes for my reset. I am feeling very positive that I will love it. So far, I haven't tried on anything in a store that is like it, so I guess I am just the teensiest bit nervous, but I have to trust Victor too. That's the hard part of working with someone who does not use CAD. I'm surprised that I can, being the control freak that I am.

I think it won't be everyone's cup of tea, but I finally had to go with what I like. The biggest hurdle was identifying what I liked compared to what most other people liked. I had to go through the process of identifying ALL the pros and cons, so I go in knowing where the challenges of having the setting I have chosen will be. What are my priorities? What can I give up? What am I willing to live with? And then seeing his settings in real life could also cause me to throw all my carefully laid plans out the window, like that gorgeous halo almost did.

I always thought I only truly gravitated toward simple styles. Then I discovered that I love examining details, and that I appreciated intricate workmanship. And I loved staring at my ring, like a crazy person.
So that all I will say for now. I am almost afraid to anticipate too much and am trying to keep myself hemmed in so I don't split apart with excitement. Thanks for being excited for me everyone.

Gorgeous rings LLJsmom. You know the EC was my favorite. You have the best luck finding gorgeous jewelry.

Marcy, Me too! That EC is TDF!

LLJsmom, thank you so much for taking the time to share this informative pictorial content. It's so illustrative re the differences b/w high colored vs lower colored old cuts.:appl:
Your setting will be a masterpiece. I have no doubt and I am super excited for you!!!!

Thank you so much for sharing so many photos from your excursion!! I love them all! I am thrilled to hear that you were able to discuss everything with Victor... I can so relate to agonizing about these types of decisions, but I know that the outcome will be nothing short of amazing!! Congrats on figuring out what feels true to you and forging ahead with the reset! I can't wait to hear more about it and see pictures in a few months!!

Thank you for the pics can't wait to see your new ring!!!

What I would give to be locked in a store like that overnight!! Lol!
