That diamond is ah-maze-ing. The culet, the kozibe, the flowery facets and pouffy silliouette... so enchanting.

The setting is a work of art- so fluid and organic, and really edgy. I like that. I love the side-view where it is these molten talons clutching that rock. Aaaahhh. Awesome.

Your ring is sooo amazingly gorgeous. Where did you get the idea for that setting? It is very unique and I have never seen anything like it but it is amazing. Also, was the 20k gold your idea, or did ERD recommend it based on the color of your diamond? The gold is so shiny and I love rose gold. what are the stats of your diamond? Thanks so much for your kind compliments Lucy! I was first turned onto how well Belcher settings could work for larger stones by Ganesha's hauntingly beautiful ring:

My ring is a little different than hers, I think the dips between prongs are more pronounced in my ring, but I think both settings are gorgeous.

I chose 20k rose gold for the setting because the diamond is so warm- it's an uncerted 2.5ct OMC that I got from the lovely Grace of Jewels by Grace, and it's at least an S/T in color. I wanted to complement the yellow in the diamond while still using rose gold (I prefer rose to yellow gold against my skin) so I opted for 20k rose. ERD was wonderful about accommodating my nitpicky requests.
