Me too and I thought I knew the lyrics of Christmas songs

Not so!! Since when is "Rock of Ages" considered a Christmas song??? I thought it was a hymn, but got it wrong anyway.

I got only six right and I, also, was told that singing was apparently not my thing. (But it is!) I agree with Mara that the selection used in the quiz was skewed. Almost all the songs used were popular songs in the past rather than traditional, religious Christmas carols. Had I been asked the words to "It Came Upon A Midnight Clear", "Joy to the World", "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing!", or "Angels We Have Heard on High" I could have gotten into the second stanzas! That''s because those were the songs I actually sang in choruses and when I went caroling! What you sing, you remember!

Seven seems to be the average here. Of course, they sometimes picked an obscure word as the lyric to throw us off after spoon-feeding us some easy ones. Kinda reminded me of ''Who Wants To Be A Millionaire".
