Hey everyone,

My new fiance is too humble to post pictures of her engagement ring, so I decided to create my own account to get them up here. I've been working with IDJ, and Yekutiel was truly amazing. I had looked at a few other places prior to purchasing, but was holding out for IDJ after the rave reviews from pricescope. Not only did he work with my budget, but he found stones that out-performed all of the others by a million miles. I believe his words were "You can look at other stones, but I guarantee this will be the one you come back to." Sure enough, the stone he said was the best, was incredible. The customer service was outstanding as well. I'm not the pickiest of shoppers, but I have the unfortunate habit of realizing what I want once it's too late. We inherited her grandmother's engagement ring, and I decided to swap out the center stones. The original center stone was a .72 G SI2 round, and he was able to keep the entire basket intact to use as a pendant. The replacement is a:

GIA 1.7 H VS2 w/ strong fluorescence
9.42x6.61x4.11
Size 5 finger

The original basket was too small for the upgrade, so IDJ was having a new basket put in on a Monday. Sunday night around midnight I found the basket style I liked best, and sent it to him. Monday afternoon I received a video of the new ring, exactly what I sent him less than 24 hours prior. Likewise, 30 minutes before the ring was to be shipped, I decided I should really have it engraved. Once again, IDJ came through for me. The family jewelers who saw the finished product were blown away by the workmanship and price.

On to the rings. The original ring had been in service for 60 years, and the platinum was showing considerable wear:

And here is the landslide of new pictures. You can really see the fluorescence in some...

thats so beautiful! im a sucker for fluor.

the setting is so classic, she must be thrilled!

fabulous job!

was that a family setting?

Yes. The ring in the first two images was her grandmothers that we inherited. I wanted to use the ring, but put our spin on it, so we swapped center stones. The original will be made into a pendant given to her mother on our wedding day.

Thats a stunning oval!!!

FANTASTIC!!! :appl: YAY IDJ! :appl:

The oval is a beautiful shape - really suits the setting and look INCREDIBLE on her lovely hand!! How wonderful you inherited something so special , now her grandmother will always be with her... that's so perfect!

This is reigniting my love of ovals - that one is really beautiful! IDJ did a great job of swapping out the basket. And how kind of you to give the original diamond to your MIL.

The ring turned out perfect...Truly an amazing job...I can't believe thay managed to accomodate a bigger stone of totally different shape in the old setting  And it truly looks fantastic :appl: :appl: :appl:
On another note, i think that it is sooooo polite and wonderful that you will be offering the grandmother's diamond, set in a pendant, to the bride's mom :appl: I'm sure that she will be over the moon ;))

What a beautiful, classy ring, and how wonderful that you were able to use a family heirloom! And what a lovely gesture to re-use part of the original setting as a gift for your fiance's mother! Great job all around! :appl:

I love it! What a gorgeous, classic ring and how incredible that Yekutiel was able to swap stones and still use your family setting! It's a lovely heirloom and it looks terrific on her hand!

Thanks everyone for your kind replies. We are also very happy to be using her grandmother's setting, especially with how the finished product looks.

Here are a couple of how the ring looks in direct sunlight. The fluorescence makes me forget it's an H color stone.

Thanks to everyone for your great compliments. Also, thanks again for all of the knowledge and diamond education I gained from reading through the endless posts on this forum.
