I've been looking for an engagement ring for a few months now and finally found something in my price range and specifications. Its a 1.6ct H VS2, GIA certified Excellent cut, symm, polish. Pretty good size, 7.57mm x 7.6mm with 56% table and 61.2% depth.

I asked for some pictures and they sent me the following:

I dont see any huge inclusions but I also have no idea what to look for. Do these pictures look ok to a more discerning eye?

Also, I seem to find most sites suggest at least a G for white gold/platinum bands. Is an H going to look ok? or will it stand out too much?

Thank you for your help!

Looks like GCAL pictures.

What are the angles? H is absolutely fine, it will not look yellow.

We have people here setting J's in platinum every day, so H is great! The stone looks nice to me, but have they said it is eyeclean from the top and sides?

Table 56%
Depth 61.2%
Crown Angle 34.5*
Crown 15%
Pavilion Angle 40.8*
Pavilion 43%

Thin - Med (faceted) 3%

Perfect numbers. You just need to be sure the inclusions are not visible to the eye.
