How long have you been a LIW?

1. have you been here on the forum?
I have been here since the end of November, but I was a lurker for about 2 months, and I couldnt stay away! You gals are fabulous!

2. have you been dating your SO?

A little under a year and a half. We are both in our early 30s and have "kissed a lot of frogs," although neither of us has ever been married. We knew **immediately** that this was it. He unofficially moved in on our second date

, and officially about 2 months later. More than a year later, we are still just crazy about eachother, and completely ready to move ahead!

3. and what is your status? (does he have the ring, have you gone ring shopping, have you discussed marriage, etc.)

Everything has been discussed, and 2 days ago, he bought the ring! Now the wait begins, but I am so excited about it.

2. How long have you been dating your SO? We''ve been friends for 10 or 11 years now, and we''ve dated sporadically during that time. It''s been serious for 3 years come NYE.


3. and what is your status? I''m struggling through the end of a marathon PhD, and I knew he was waiting to propose until after I graduated. (Wanna make a prison term seem even longer?

) But then suddenly he wanted to go ring shopping a couple of weeks ago! Yay! And we''re going again on Saturday! And we may have found a stone online that we''ll buy!

It''s moving kind of fast right now, actually. But once we have the stone and a setting, I won''t see it again until he''s good and ready. And he''s definitely the type to tease!

How long have I been here...

about 2 years... I found this site when I thought MR WRONG was Mr Right...only to find out he was just Mr rightNOW. Plus I found out later he was not honest and he was not the person I thought he was.
I lurked for about 13 months or so before I joined....

How long have we been dating...
F and I have been together a year and mr not so wonderful were together for almost 2 years...

Status:
We have discussed marriage (he is divorced) and I know he is MR RIGHT....for sure this time....LOL
He knows what I like and what I don''t and now its all up to him...we have looked casually and whatnot but nothing has been bought..to my knowledge....there is always wishful thinking...LOL

I''ve been on the forum for just a few days, I''ve been dating Adam for over three years, and our status is really up in the air. We very, very casually went to look at a jewelry store where I didn''t like anything. I''ve also sent my preferences to him online and showed him them on the computer. We''ve discussed it at least 20 times. I can''t wait to hear from all of you!

2. have you been dating your SO?

- We have been together since June 2003. So we have been dating 4 and a half years. We bought an apartment together and moved in June 2007 on about our 4 year mark.

3. and what is your status? (does he have the ring, have you gone ring shopping, have you discussed marriage, etc.)

- We discuss it almost daily now. My SO is the type that likes to take his time and surprise me with everything. I''m not subtle at all about my hints on what I like as far as rings. He is nervous that he''ll pick something that I won''t like though. I don''t know if he has a ring or not, but we most likely will be engaged sometime during the first quarter of next year. We want to get married in 2009 and have looked at reception sites. I''m pretty sure that he is waiting for his bonus this year (2007) to buy a ring. We spent a lot of our savings buying our apartment this year, which didn''t leave a lot of extra cash for a ring. He knows that he could propose with a cracker jack ring and I would say yes. He has expressed that he wants to do it his way though and I''m trying to do my best to respect that. So, right now, I''m anxiously waiting.

We have been dating since October 8th 2004 (3 years and some months)

He has the ring, it''s in the house and diving me bananas!

Since June, 2006, so just a year and a half.

3. Status:
Have talked about marraige and he is still unsure.

So I don''t even really qualify as a lady in waiting probably. I am older than him and have told him that it is important to me to settle down and start a family soon as I am almost 32 years old, so we have agreed that we will revisit the topic of marriage in February and see how he feels then and if he is still unsure, I am moving on (even though I probably won''t because I''m so in love with him, it will be next to impossible to walk away). So its fair to say that marriage is a delicate topic for us, but one that we have discussed and hope to resolve soon.

We have talked about it a lot and I would say within 6-12 months. I used to be worked up about it but now I am feeling very peaceful/comfortable with that timeline. I think talking about it more with him has helped a ton.
