I think it depends on the man. I like a stud on a lot of men, but if you don''t have the look, you look silly.
David Beckham, yes, Mr Rodgers, no. Also depends on how big your diamond is; .25, elegant; 2 ct, ''street''.
LOL! Nice comparison!Date: 3/22/2010 12:46:29 PM

If in doubt I would leave the stud out Ziggy and just wear it off duty.Date: 3/22/2010 1:07:03 PM

i dont see myself as beckam but i definitely do not run with the mr rogers crew. i work in a typical office environment. i like a little jewelry on my ear but do not know if its accepted in the office and do not want it to hinder my career if most people view it negatively.

Agreed. Unless you''re in a high-up position, it wouldn''t look appropriate wearing an earring. I don''t think it looks right in the majority of office settings and the earring, for all you know, may entirely change other''s perception of you.Date: 3/22/2010 2:02:09 PM

I''d say if you don''t want to make any waves, don''t experiment.

I''m not disagreeing, only adding another thought.
If you pierce an ear but work without an earring everyone will see the hole.
In a very conservative and intolerant workplace some could wonder about who you are outside the office. (Absurd, but lots of people ARE absurd)
A hole with no earring can seem to them as though you have two lives.
If there were an earring there at least you are holding your head up high and being your confident self.
This might be good for a career, depending on your boss.
For my office? Yes. For yours? I dunno. Totally personal preference.Date: 3/22/2010 3:31:15 PM

thats exactly my point, i will wear it normally to the office but if i have to meet with people or go on interviews i will not wear it. would wearing a 0.5ct single stud be too large for the office?
Government office. Wicked conservative.Date: 3/22/2010 3:37:55 PM

whats your office?
IMO, yeah. When you said "stud" I was picturing something as clean as a metal ball. A .5 ideal cut diamond in one ear is serious bling. Personally, if I were a guy in IT wearing a single stud I''d aim for something closer to .25-.30.Date: 3/22/2010 3:31:15 PM
