How many pairs of diamond earrings do you ladies have?

I''ve bought 3 pairs. I lost one pair, around .33ctw. I gave the .20ctw to my sister. I now have one pair, roughly .66ctw.

As requested, here are shots of my earrings. These were hastily taken.

Pave Huggies:

Self ear shot of huggies and my little studs. No stats on anything as they were both purchased pre-PS.

ETA: The pave is crazy sparkly IRL!

I have:

1. A pair of diamond studs - have no idea what the ctw is b/c it''s part of MIL''s wedding gift, my guesstimate would be 0.66ctw.

2. A pair of huggies - invisible set princess pave. It''s my first Christmas gift from DH when we were dating.

3. A pair of diamond hoops - 1.54 ctw, bead set, ~1-2pointers, G-H, VS2, 1 3/4" diameter.

I would love to get a pair of bigger studs.

None yet. I have been shopping for .35 to .40 ct. diamonds to make a .70 to .80 cttw set, but I think I really want to hold out for half-caraters. They are so much more expensive though. Which is why I don''t have them yet.

Ha! These *barely* count ... as I don''t even know the TCW of these teensy babies ... but, heck, it''s an excuse to post ''em again.

Since I''ve only had my ears pierced for about a year now ... I have a lot of catching up to do. DARN DEPRESSION 2.0.

I have 1 pr. studs, 1.33/34 ct per ear
rarely wear them

a pair of hoops, medium large size, about 3.88cts total. Custom made by Facets a few yrs. ago
I wear them everyday

I have one pair of .25 cttw bezel studs that I wear with my jackets (approx. 30 cttw) The studs were the first piece of jewelry that my husband gave me when we were dating.

I used to have a pair of .5 cttw studs, but I lost one. These were my MIL's earrings from her husband (now divorced). I had the lone stud made into a necklace. It's like the earrings got divorced too!!!!!

And here's the lone stud earring made into a necklace...

OMG girls, don't forget the sunscreen! These closeup pics really show all my sunspots on my chest & I'm only 32!

One pair of white diamond studs, J SI1s 0.85 ctw, from Blue Nile after finding PS. These are great! Before that I wore a radiated blue pair (4 mm each) a lot, and I also own a truly mutt pair of 5 mm brown I2s from Gem Stone King on eBay. Nice color, but no sparkle!

luvmyhalos - I love your halos!!

Here's my list, if we are counting all types:

1. 1.2 ctw studs, H/SI I believe (WF)
2. I pair of antique OEC Edwardian platinum and diamond leverback earrings (they are milgrained and have that lacy look, a bit like a snowflake or flower). TCW is smallish, probably .75 or something. Diamonds are probably... H VS/SI (would have to dig up my records)
3. One pair of OMC yellow gold antique leverback earrings. Each is set with two diamonds - one medium at the bottom and one smaller above it. Probably H VS/SI too. Again, TCW is smallish, probably .80
4. One pair of vintage/antique yellow gold delicate leverback dangle drop earrings - each is set with a tiny pearl, and a small OMC (cushion shaped) diamond dangling below. They are very sweet. Again, TCW is small... maybe .40
5. One pair of palladium diamond chandelier earrings. They are contemporary, but in antique style (gee, do I like antiques? Yes!). They are ~1.2 or 1.5 ctw. I do wear them to the office sometimes. Woo

I have one pair of cute vintage-inspired WG diamond jackets, which I wear with my studs pretty much every time I wear them.

I do own one pair of tiny diamond hoops, but do not count them because I bought them years ago before I knew what I was doing. They are channel set with tiny (poor quality) princess cut diamonds. I never wear them.

I think that's it!!

I have one pair of studs 2 ctw. And they''re princess cut. I think the color/clarity is H/SI2. I would have 2 pairs, but I lost one of the studs in my office. They were 1 ctw round I/VS2. I swear I''m going to find the missing one one day.

Diva, they sound divine! I am sorry though that you''ve lost one of yr studs. You know, this happens quite a lot apparently. I have friends that that''s happened to and I myself almost lost one of my studs. I went crazy looking for it and fortunately I found it. I hope you find yours one day [fingers crossed].

(Btw, I LOVE yr cat. What''s his/ her name? Do you have pics posted/ wannna post?)

Thanks Phoenix!

The little "stinker" in my avatar is Pepper. She''s 3 years old and was just having a lazy Saturday while I was packing for a move. I call her stinker sometimes because she has quite an attitude when she''s good and ready. As for pics of the earrings, I''m running them through the ultrasonic cleaner now. Will post picks soon!

I just have 1/3 tcw studs - which I totally love. I was playing with different drops at a local jeweler''s recently though, and that was a lot of fun... ;) Before I had the diamond studs, I wore a pair a wg ball studs 24/7. I''m just too lazy to switch them out.

I have 4 pairs:

.72 ctw studs YG
.90 ctw dangles YG
.50 ctw j hoop WG
.66 tri-cluster dangle WG

Wow, I am so happy that there seems to be several other PS''ers who have more than one or two pairs of diamond earrings. I was worried I might have been one of the few who "waste" money on so many pairs that cannot be worn all at one (I am all for maximising the value of one''s purchases, LOL).

Please keep the pics comimg, ladies. They''re all look gorgeous. Would love to see MORE!!

HI:

Hmmmm, I have three pairs: some ''red carpet'' dangle type DAvid Keeling made for me--they don''t get worn very often but are wonderful. My 2.12 ctw super ideal studs, that I don''t wear often either as I always forget. I have a small antique looking pair--no more than .70ctw that probably get the most wear as they are understated: but the thing is I have so many other types and styles of earrings the the diamonds always are a third of fourth choice. For these reasons I simply cannot justify buying earring jackets or larger studs (which I almost did last weekend!) b/c they just won''t get worn anymore than they do now.

ETA: I just remembered I have a pair of diamond huggies, 1ctw, that are really functional--I can wear them alone or with a dangle. They are also quite understated--think I''ll put them on today!

cheers--Sharon
Your earrings sound fabulous, but then again you''ve always had very good taste.

Your earrings sound particularly divine (particularly the David Keeling - they sound intriguing)!! Care to post pics of those, pls?

My problem is I get very tempted whenever I walk pass a jewellery shop. I''ve had to resort to keeping my credit cards at home these days. I don''t know what it is about earrings....seems like many ladies like to be able to switch earrings for different looks but if you''re like me, you''ll end up sticking to one or two pairs most of the time (and then wonder why you bought the others in the first place!

Everyone''s earrings sound so beautiful! I have a pair of 0.25ctw studs from WF that I bought myself as a reward for getting a scholarship. They''re tiny and comfy and I wear them all the time, even to sleep.

Phoenix: Maybe you have to get more earholes to make your money more well-spent.

We need to see ALL those earrings!

Congratulations on getting yr scholarship. Well done!!

Are yr earrings ACAs? They''re really sparkly and fabulous.

I have 3 holes in my left earlobe and 2 on my right (back in the days when I was young and funky-looking, he he). Now I tend to only wear one pair at a time (the other holes have partially closed up too).

There are threads on my earrings, but pls let me know if you''d like me to re-post. Any excuse to post my pics, he he.

A pair of studs is on my shopping list, however I''m not a big earring girl - I''m hoping diamond ones will change that though, lol..

Hi! I''m new to the forum (and am LOVING all the posts) and have just started my jewelry addiction - I mean collection.
3.gif

I have one pair of 1.28ct diamond studs (need to take pics!) and just bought a pair of dangley diamond earrings on ebay yesterday - I can''t wait to get them in the mail! Below is a pic of the dangles. I''m thinking of having ''baskets'' attached to the back of the upper most circle (where the post is) so that the dangles actually become earring jackets for my studs. Has anyone tried this? Does it work and is it relatively comfortable?
LOVE yr new acquisition
30.gif
!

I actually have a pair of dangly earrings that look not too different from these. I wear them "standalone" though. Not sure how yr plan would work, you''d have to take them to yr local jeweller''s and see if they can do it for you. Keep us posted.

(And believe me, it *IS* an addiction, a fabulous but costly one)

I have one pair of G VS2 studs set in platinum and another pair of H VS2 studs being made by GOG as we speak. Then I have about twelve or thirteen pairs of diamond earrings. I don''t seem to wear my plain gold earrings too much any more, although I do tend to wear them for more sedate occasions like wakes and funerals.

HOW MANY?????!!!

I thought I was bad (good "bad" but still bad, LOL)!!

Do you have pics of all of yr diamond earrings posted anywhere? Would LOVE to see them all together in one thread. The GOG sound particularly faaaaabbbb. Pics pls.

I am the same with gold earrings. I don''t even remember what I''ve done with them. Used to have loads.

Diamonds are much better, he he.

anne h would you mind posting a picture of your antique OEC Edwardian platinum and diamond leverback earrings? They sound lovely.

Hrmm, this will jog the memory!

1. 1.00ctw claw set rounds in white gold that I practically live in
2. .30ctw claw set rounds in yellow gold for my second piercings
3. .30ctw bezel set rounds in yellow gold for my second piercings
4. .25ctw channel huggie hoops in yellow gold
5. .25ctw claw set huggie hoops in yellow gold
6. .10ctw antique style chandelier type drops in yellow gold

That'll do!

Luvmyhalo - your studs/jackets are the PERFECT size on your ears! I''d love a pair like that.
30.gif

I just have one pair and I wear them EVERYDAY. They are just under 1ctw. They are basket setting white gold and I would be lost without them. No other stats they are pre ps.

I have three pairs of studs.

One pair is .40 ctw. OMC's (removed from my 1920's art deco three stone ring), another is .777 WF ACA/ES F VS2's in their baby bezels, the other is 1.0 ctw. G VS (but probably not ideal cut)in martini prongs.
I have a pair of diamond prong set hoops, a Roberto Coin tiny treasures heart set, and .50 ctw. bezel earrings from Signed Pieces (but I lost one a while back).

I don't actually wear my earrings much, I usually wear white gold hoops from QVC! I also feel funny about wearing something larger than .5 ct on my ear, I feel like they pull my earlobe down and I am just not comfortable.

I am going to post the WF baby bezels and the martini's in my WF jackets. I like both looks, but I think I prefer the martini with the jackets.
