How much information are you giving your boyfriend about the ring you want?

Ella, I do feel a LOT calmer about the "when" part since he gave me his timeframe, but I''m even more obsessed about the ring, because 2006 starts in less than a month!!

I''ve E-mailed four places for quotes!!!

I really want to make sure he knows about my trellis obsession...

I''m sitting on my hands and waiting ''til after the Christmas holidays though.

From everything you''ve told us, I think you''re on your way to being engaged soon and you''ll get the ring you want. I think you''ve been very patient and non pressuring to your BF.....and I also think it''s awesome that you like a ring that is very reasonably priced. It''s not that I care about the amount my BF spends, but the design I love happens to be very expensive. Grr! Why does that always happen to me with big purchases? I can shop on Ebay and Old Navy and be happy as a clam (especially when good stuff is on sale) but when it comes to engagement rings I had to go fall in love with the super duper gotta win the lottery ring. LOL (And yes I saw the recent Daniel K ring on Ebay but unfortunately at the price of $35k it''s not quite budget friendly).

My BF''s last straw was actually when I emailed him a quote for a custom setting that I got from a vendor. The quote was very reasonable, I thought, and it was from a very reputable and praised PS vendor. (That I would LOVE to work with!!) I really thought he would be happy with the research. But my BF said that I was going too far and he doesn''t want me to be setting up transactions for him. Oops!

Nevermind all that though. Ring? What ring? I don''t think about rings. I don''t know what you''re talking about.

I am going to prove Matatora wrong and keep calm for longer than half a day. Hee hee!

As much as I can. I already told him that we''re definitely getting an ACA stone from Whiteflash. As for settings...well, we''re figuring that out together. So, until this weekend, I don''t know about the setting.

Ellewoods, funny, my bf initially did the same thing when I kept on throwing ideas and ring pics at him. Guy thing, I suppose...

Anchor, don''t worry, December will fly by so fast, and before you know it, you''ll be engaged! You''re being a very patient and understanding girlfriend, and I''m sure he knows that and appreciates it.
