So, I have a couple of pregnant friends IRL right now, and we all marvel at how different our weight gain has been for our body types. It''s funny, because there are 4 of us that are about the same height and weight, and during our first pregnancies, we gained 25, 35, 65 and 80 pounds, yet we all bounced back to our normal weights within a year after the birth. I have other some other friends who gained as little as 9 pounds, or as much as 100. I am just curious as to what the PS "average" is. It''s funny, because doctors say the average is 25-35 pounds, but it seems like it varies so much more in real life!
So, here are my 2 pregnancy weight gains:
1st pregnancy - started at a healthy weight, and gained 35 pounds
2nd pregnancy (am now 28 weeks along) - started 15 pounds above my regular weight because of fertility drugs (was still technically a healthy weight), but I wanted to only gain about 25 pounds this time. So far I have gained 19 pounds, but since I still have 12 weeks to go, I think that I''ll probably end up gaining around 30 all together.
