Hi, I'm considering buying a loose oval tsavorite garnet with the intention of setting it in a pendant necklace. The dimensions are 7.0mm x 6.0mm x 4.5mm. Is the only option to take it to a local jeweler or are there places to buy mounts/settings online for custom sizes? Seems like most custom websites I'm finding have you pick a stone as well.
From researching, it seems like there is only 0.1-0.2mm "play" for setting stones so something like a premade 6mm x 8mm mount or 5mm x 7mm doesn't work, right?
