How to reduce ring size or tighten ring

Hello, my first post here. I have read this website for a new months now and it is great here. You get lots of good advice.

I purchased a platinum solitaire ring with tiffany setting. She usually wears a size 4 ring. However, while this engagement ring is a size 4, it is a bit too loose on her finger. It''s winter here in the northeast, I wonder if that makes a difference. What is the best way to tighten this ring without having to re-size it?

we have a very similar solution for my husband''s ring, I think our''s is called "liquid ring guard" it works great!

if it's loose as in it may slip off, very easy to take it to a jeweler and add some sizing beads. If it's just loose as in it spins, perhaps see how it is once the weather warms up, and after she adds a wedding band.
