How to set an oval emerald?

If you do set it in platinum, be careful who sets it. I had two emeralds chip in platinum. I prefer 18K gold for emeralds.

Something similar to Harriet's amazing tsavorite setting design that LM made for her could work well with a N/S oval.

I've found harriet and searched all her posts for tsavorite but there are no photos of it. Maybe deleted?

It will be set in 18k yellow gold. I prefer the color anyway and doubly so for emeralds at least with my skin tone.

Just wanted to pop in and say how lovely your emerald is. An emerald of that quality is difficult to find.

First, what a gorgeous emerald. Congratulations on your engagement and your beautiful stone! My vote is for the 3rd setting, the McII setting with the side diamonds. That would make a beautiful ring.
