Hi All,
This is my third post and still have not decided on a diamond. sigh! This I have it blocked..
One other diamond got snatched under my feet the last time. Here is the link for it.
http://www.jamesallen.com/diamonds/F-SI1-Excellent-Cut-Round-Diamond-1523312.asp
Pros:
1. The LxBxH of this diamond is perfect as to what I want
2. The hearts and arrows are very crisp. Hearts are crisper than others I have seen.
3. It is F color
4. HCA 1.5
5. Good bang for buck for 3Cs - color, cut and carat
6. No florescence
Cons and questions
1. SI1 clarity. Has twining wisps and 10x zoom (the picture on the diamond page) shows quite a bit of surface graining, especially in the middle. According to two customer representatives I spoke to, it is eye clean and surface graining is not visible whatsoever. Also according to them the graining is not affecting the light performance. Is that true? Please take a look at the diamond and tell if this is a good buy. I read a bit about twining wisps and I am told that it is not going to affect the durability of the diamond.
2. No AGS report. Can't see the light performance. Is ideal scope picture good enough? How do I read it?
Ultimate question: What do you guys think overall? Good diamond?
Biting my nails till I get some responses here!
Thanks a bunch!
