I think it''s just a guy thing to move everything without ever going through it. I found lots of old girlfriend stuff in our townhouse after we moved in. That means DH had moved it from his parents house to his apartment to our town house. He just put things in boxes when he moved without really looking at what it was.

I''ve got to agree with Robbie. During our most recent move I insisted that he actually go through some of the boxes so we weren''t moving "crap". He ended up throwing away six garbage bags of things he didn''t even remember having - broken pencils, floppy disks (who even has a floppy drive anymore?!?!), random post it notes I had left for him (get milk on your way home type things), etc etc. I could not believe how much stuff he had. He didn''t actually save anything on purpose he just didn''t realize he was dragging around that much crap.

Wow PS withdrawals!!! I couldn''t get to the forums page yesterday at work.

He''s a self admitted pack rat, and he didn''t even know it was in there. So it''s not like he was trying to keep it for sentimental reasons. He has some really weird stuff in boxes that came from his parents'' house... anyway, thanks for all the support and advice, it was quite traumatizing!!!

Wow ... he is 24 years old and has had a lot of break ups over cheating and even a potential engagement? Am I hearing that correct?

I would be pissed off to think that he still had the ring... it''s not like it is worth anything. CZ. Was it used, did you notice when you tried it on? Why would he tell you about his past relationships but fail to tell you that he was going to propose to someone? That he had expectations of marrying someone until she cheated. Something that I think in 11 months of your dating you should have known, no?

It''s sad, but yeah the only other 2 serious relationships he''s had have ended because the girl cheated on him. He made a choice to remain single for 2 years after the last ho-bag (

) until someone worth it came along. I sure am worth it!!!

The ring wasn''t an engagement ring, just a cheapie ''promise ring'' he got for his high school girlfriend when he graduated and she had a year left. He never gave it to her because he found out about the cheating before he could. Believe me, I know more than I probably want to about his past GFs, the one who the ring was for was our neighbor for awhile...

Awkward...

But it''s over and done with now, back to our normal happy selves!
