Thanks ladies! I am dying!! I keep staring at the pictures. My nails are nicely painted as well and I keep thinking, "wow, they're perfect for an Ering shot" lol. Tomorrow is our 5th anniversary. We have no plans since it's in the middle of the week and we're both working. But we're going to try to have some fun this weekend.

I'm partial to small weddings as well. As of now (and I suppose this decision can't be considered final until FF completely agrees lol), I'm thinking of an elopement package with a venue a couple blocks from our apartment. The place is gorgeous (I catered there once). You can have up to 10 guests, and it includes the ceremony, flowers, and a professional photographer. I figured we could have a few people and go straight to dinner afterwards. Then the following weekend, throw a party for everyone else. That way I don't have to be a huge center of attention while I'm actually getting married (freaks me out! I don't even celebrate my birthday with more than 3 people lol). I'm a nervous wreck about everything at this point.

If it were up to just me, that is so the type of wedding I would also want. I broached this very topic with FI a while back and told him that I think 10 guests would be good, and he just about freaked out.

Ladies, I cannot emphasize how wonderful it is to either elope or have a very small wedding! You can manage the details so easily, and splurge on things that would cost a lot more if you were doing it for a crowd, and there is an intimacy that is so romantic! We have no regrets about eloping...in fact anytime we see a wedding on TV we both look at each other and say, "thank god we didn''t do that!" If that''s what you want, go for it, it''s about you two getting married...

That said, Moon, I''m happy to hear your ering got re made exactly to your heart''s desire...I cant wait to see it!

Also I agree, if small is what you want, go for it. Star sparkle, is there any particular reason why your FI wants a bigger wedding? Maybe you can address some of his concerns (i.e. wants certain family/friends to be there) and you two can reach a compromise.
