I got an early birthday surprise...

After all my ranting about J not getting his act and money together for so long... He called me last night just to tell me he'd have the money on Friday!!! THIS Friday! The day before my birthday!!

This obviously means he's ready to buy... I am SO excited!!! He seemed really excited too... I really can't quite believe it right now. We're going to my grandmother's in Ottawa to celebrate my sister and I's 21st, so no ring shopping right then (darn!

), but I can garantee you we'll be going the weekend after that!

I don't have anything against buying local per se, but I do have a problem with him spending 2k on something that I know is not worth that. I wouldn't want him to buy something that is smaller/poorer quality than what he could get elsewhere, and I'm sure you can understand that!

We'll see how it goes, and I'm really hoping that we'll either find what we're looking for local or that he'll agree to go online, because I know he could get exactly what I want for his budget there.

Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Yay for money! [$$)] [$$)] Ha! I know how frustrated you've been about this and I've so been there. It took us almost 2 years to save the money for my ring and sometimes I just about caved and told him to pick a ring from my jewelery box and do it already! But he refused to budge on the issue, insisted I get the ring I fell in love with and although the wait sucked I don't think I would change a thing!

Happy birthday, and many wishes that the money comes through and you get your ring soon!

Our Avs won the quarters although I doubt they have a chance for the semis!

Yep we''re nearing the end of week 13 of my ring being on that blasted shelf

I still have no idea what he''s working on. He''s painting what looks like overhead transparencies, with what seems to be indistinguishable shapes in purple and green. I have NO idea. He wont give me any hints either, the brat

Well I only have 13 more days to wait, so we''ll see.

And I have no idea who the Avs will play. I think they changed the way they reseed the teams after each round but I can''t seem to find what the new rule actually is... but I guess either San Jose or Anaheim.
