thanks to all of you for the super nice comments!!! I''m so excited!!! I wish I had a picture of me trying on my mom''s veil at the fitting. It''s a plain cathedral length silk veil that is very pretty with the dress.. (my something old and so priceless)
We wound up ordering Christian Bauer wedding bands. Mine is very simple- plain platinum band (brushed finish in the center with two teeny polished edges on the top and bottom). His is similar, but not exactly the same. We are going to have each other''s rings engraved (sorta corny. I know, but meaningful to us). I''ll wear my e-ring on my right hand until our first anniversary (my matching Leon band won''t be in the budget until then).
As far as wedding jewels go..I have no idea. I need some help on this.. Pearls? Earrings and a bracelet? I don''t know.
Here''s a pic of the winning hair style (so far anyway).
Every once in a while it hits me...this is really happening.....
Lovey- Your pics of your fitting are BEAUTIFUL! I can''t wait to see your WEDDING PICS!
I know what you mean about it feeling like its happening fast. I still have9 months to go.. but last night FI and were talking about wedding magazines.. and he asked me which ones I subscribed to.. and I told him and then I said "well maybe I should subscribe to the others.. so i''m not paying the newstand markup".. and he said.. "well it would be pretty silly to get a year subscription at this point.." and it like REALLY hit me that it was NOT far away at all!
It is SO BEAUTIFUL!!! And you really do look better than the model--you are stunning, girl!! (How tall are you? Seriously, you have an amazing figure.....I don''t know what you do to tone those gorgeous arms, but WOW, that dress looks amazing. I promise, I''m not hitting on you
) But you look GREAT!
And I think that J. Simpson hairdo is going to be smashing!! YAY!!!
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEk!!!!!!! you look G*O*R*G*E*O*U*S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
absolutely STUNNING! I am sucha fan of that elegant, understated vintage glamour and you carry it off SO PERFECTLY.
I totally agree with everyone, you look WAY better than the model in that dress, it looks like it was made for you!!!! Soooooo exciting! I can''t wait until I get my dress! I usually am not a huge fan of traditional/american bustles(i''ve seen them done horribly wrong), but it looks perfect with your dress.
And you know how I feel aboutyour hair LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT !
You have to take pics at ypur hair trial and post em!! PROMISE.
GIRLFRIEND...you look seriously HOTTT!!!! That dress was made for your body. And, can I please have your shoulders? please? Really, they''d look great with my strapless wedding dress.
Oh, and the J. Simpson hairdo will look FABULOUS with your dress!
Oh, lovey, you look AMAZING in your dress! It does indeed look much better on you than on the model. It really has a sense of vintage glamour about it that I adore (and suits you really well) & the hairstyle you''ve chosen will just accentuate it! Perfect! I can''t wait to see it w/ your mom''s long veil! Gosh, I''m just so excited for you!
LOVELY Lovey, LOVELY!
Wow, I''m just echoing everyone else''s statements here, but seriously, you look so much better than the model!
(I really LOVE seeing dresses on real women!)

Oh my stars..... How did I miss your pictures Lovey??? You look AMAZING!! Hot with triple T's a-la HMGal!! And the Jessica updo is perfect for your elegant vintagey gown! Can't wait to see your Something Old too!
ETA: I know what you mean - I STILL feel like it's happening fast. A coworker who was married last year summed it up perfectly: "I feel like I'm living with my boyfriend and everybody is congratulating me about it."
i told you already that i love your dress after seeing the ad-pics... but it looks even better on you if that is at all possible. you look so beautiful in it. and everyone is right about your amazing figure, shoulders, arms... you and your dress are absolutely gorgeous. you must be so excited!
about the "it is really happening"... i still have a hard time believing how fast the last weeks have been passing and that there are only eleven days left until our wedding.
i guess that feeling is yet to come... right now there are still too many things to take care of plus work, hehe, i am too busy even thinking about it . i guess it will hit me next weekend, when i will be all set, stop running errands and preparing and just start to unwind.
!!!!!!!!!!!! wow! I am overwhelmed by all the nice comments. You guys really made my day.
re: arm toning...last year I was on a gym kick and obsessed with free weight training. My back and arms got sorta..ummm - out of control. It probably was not my best look (She-Ra) but at the time I hated my job and needed a focus. Now I don''t have time to go to the gym, but I still like to do the occasional yoga class.
Thanks for coming to take at look at my pictures. This is such a fun place to post our stories.
That dress was beautiful in the pics, but it is even more flattering on a real person. You look so elegant and classic and will make a gorgeous bride. Can''t wait for more pics and congrats on a truly fabulous dress!
You look AMAZING!!!! I think I need to pick up some low fat yogurt!!! Your shoulders and back look so fantastic! I''m always struggling with those parts of my body!!
It is so beautiful. I love mermaid dresses but I was cursed with the short gene so they don''t really work on me. It looks perfect on you. Now I am worried though because I never did the dress dance test! Oh no! Its a ball gown too...
I know I am late here but just wanted to say that WOW that dress looks amazing on you and I LOVE the back view, the small train is stunning, and the bustled views. I adore bustled dresses. How beautiful that you found the right dress for your body structure and height and it''s SO flattering. I love your hair in the ''seamstress'' pictures too, you look very elegant already. Can''t wait to see the day of pictures!
Ha Ha sometimes seeing you gals in your dresses and getting ready makes me want to go back and do it all over again (with one of your dresses!)
