blunt response: a lot of eBay buyers are NOT knowledgeable so of course they think they got a good deal and as a result they left good feedback because they are indeed happy. so, are you going to trust the feedback from people who don't know what constitutes a quality diamond and/or ring? or are you going to educate yourself? only you know the answer to that....and after all it is your $.
in a few years when your GF now wife gets educated re diamonds and wants an upgrade because she finds that $695 bargain ring to be lacking, well, will you be willing to step up to the plate and pay for that upgrade?
why not get yourself educated and do it right the first time?
