My husband used his little Mazda car with over 300,000 miles on it to pull a 4 wheel drive Trail Blazer out of a snowbanked ditch at 2am on his way home from work. I think that''s hot.

It bothers me when people press an already pressed elevator button. And then it bothers me that it bothers me because I usually stand behind the person going

You wouldn''t like me, I think.
I will push an already pushed up or down elevator button while I''m waiting for the elevator to arrive. Just in case the other person''s "push" wasn''t good enough. (But in all fairness I think it''s more an OCD thing than anything else... not that it makes it less annoying

12 lbs apples (I'm using granny smith, golden delicious, and mcintosh)
1/4lb fresh cranberries
1/2c balsamic vinegar
8c sugar (I'm using 6c white, 2c brown)
4 tsp lemon zest (well, I'm using limes 'cause I've got a dozen and then some)
allspice, cinnamon, nutmeg, ground cloves
apple juice


-cook apples in vinegar and a couple of cups of apple juice 'til mushy
-puree and store 2c elswhere, and add lemon zest, spices, and half the sugar.
-slow cook for 12 hrs
-add the remaining 2c puree and sugar, slow cook for another 2 hrs (or til it has the consistency you want)


should make 9 pints, I'll find out tomorrow

. On the plus side, the apartment smells yummy

I don''t do it on elevators, but I do it at intersections to get the "walk" signal. But I swear most of those are like the traffic light sensors that will only change the light when 2+ cars are waiting...when I''m waiting forever at a light, if there''s nobody around I''ll back up a little and then drive forward again. Works like a charm. I don''t know if I''ve just convinced myself that pedestrian signals work the same way, or if it''s really true.

I believe it''s an 88. Though I''m not sure because I was POd that he bought it in the first place.

He just bought it less than a year ago....

My mom has a kitten I want but JD says we are not having 3 cats.

He does his own dishes by hand. So it''s only when I rack them up that the dishwasher even gets used. I will vacuum, clean, and cook, but I draw the line at handwashing dishes and scrubbing the bathtub. Funny, the scrubbing the toilet isn''t a bother, but the tub...
