I need experienced opinions on Noble Beryl

I have never heard of Noble Beryl.
However, this is my heliodor, or light golden beryl.
It is pale yellow, and about 6 carats.
Your design idea sounds really nice! I hope you can find a stone and go forward with this project!

Thank you!! That is very beautiful!!!

I like this one! Love your design idea also, it’s perfect to showcase the bar shape and a bi-color stone especially.

Thank you!!! I appreciate everyone’s help, today! This has opened a whole new door for me, concerning this design!! Once I decide on a stone, I’ll reach out to Caysie to discuss setting/design options. I have a few in mind, and I value her experience.
I’m going to run this past DH, since I’d love to do this for an anniversary (not necessarily THIS year), and get his input.
I’ll keep looking, and post more, as I find more candidates!!
Stay tuned!! :lol-2:

I have never heard of nobel beryl, but I would pass due to the slightly muddy colour and window.

If there is any give in your budget then I would ask about this one

https://loupetroop.com/listings/loo...ion-cut-by-gene-of-precisiongem-dot-com;21329

Otherwise I would open the possibilty up to other stones like zircon and topaz (niel made some pendants with both, and the results were stunning.) I would comb mastercutgem's current ongoing sale/promotion, litnon and acstones's site looking for news inventory (youll have to patient they are extremely popular and tend to sell as soon as they are listed).

What's noble about it? Red beryl is super expensive and rare even in one carats, green is emerald, blue is aqua etc. etc. I think you should go back to square one.

Ooh red beryl? I didn’t even know that was a thing!

The vendor listed the stone “Noble Beryl”. Not my term, his.
When I researched the term, I did find it. Apparently, it’s not a very popular term in the colored gem world, but it does exist.
I’m new to the colored gemstone experience, which is why I’m here: square one.
With the help of those willing to take this journey with me, I’ve already passed on the original stone, I am soaking up lots of new info, and have visited trusted sites of great vendors to try to learn as much as I can about exactly what it is I’m trying to achieve.
For me, PS is a fountain of knowledge & experience...far more reliable than any other resource, which is why I started my journey, here.
Pardon my ignorance pertaining to Beryl; I’ve lived in the land of diamonds for a really long time. This was my first real exposure to a gemstone of this type, so the listed name was the only info I had to work with, when I created the thread.

I have observed that some sellers use the term "noble" to mean "fine". I first questioned the term when I saw the vendor Litnon use it for a red spinel ring. That vendor has changed the description to "blood red" spinel.

Ah, dang, sorry, didn't want to be snobbish, just too little thought and quick 'post'.
