I need help from the experts: buying a refractometer

I need a refractometer for my distance education courses. GIA sells one for $925 and I see others on Amazon for $89. Although I know the Amazon refractometer will be a shell compared to the GIA refractometer I feel like there has to be an in between. It's just so hard for me to accept that I'm really going to have to spend that much (and more, but that's beside the point). What do you all use? Can you offer any suggestions?

Go check the other forum. You know which one, right? Some that are often used are:
GemPro $475
Gem-A
I've heard that some Dialdexs can be purchased for as low as $300 to $400
