Re: I need help with picking an orange blossom engagement ri
I would actually get an art deco style engagement ring and pair it with a true Traub Orange Blossom wedding band or replica. You can get the e-ring from vendors mentioned above, here are links:

My e-ring is a 1930s filigree art deco ring we got from Jewels by Erica Grace (now two entities, Love Affair Diamonds and Jewels by Grace). My e-ring came with a non-matching anniversary band from the 1950s. I have it but never wear it. The set cost us $2100 plus tax. The wedding band was $325, no tax.
Antique orange blossom rings have to be ordered exactly to size because they can't be resized without interrupting the pattern. I wasn't ever able to find one in size 5, so I got a replica, from here...this one is mine:

I actually don't think it's weird to get something your mom has that is cherished. I actually wish my hubby would have given me his mom's ring, it was really pretty and vintage. If she's into the era of the 20-30s, I would say just go with it and get her a true vintage ring.
Gypsy's suggestion is beautiful. I would also say to do that as well. I'm partial to true vintage pices when possible. There are so many choices!
