Sunnyd, I am so sorry about your haircut! It can be so devastating to get bad haircut. At least she didn''t take it all off. Just get to a real salon first thing you can and have them fix it. It will be worth every penny, and it can still turn into something great!

That is so sad that your cut didn''t turn out well!! That must be really frustrating.

I''m like you though - I never say anything and just pay the bill and tip and go home feeling awful about myself. Mostly because I didn''t speak up.

While I understand the whole ''go somewhere else and get it fixed'' thing, I personally wouldn''t. Once my friend got a bad haircut and went and paid another 60 or whatever to get it ''fixed'' somewhere else and ended up hating it even more, and of course it was now shorter and she had to wait even longer before getting it done again.

Unless it is an easy fix, sometimes it is best to just wait. Once you have a bit more length, you can go to a new stylist.

However, depending on what the issue is, it *could* be a simple fix?

Did you want to post pics?

Aww, Sunny I''m so sorry! You should call in and at least tell them how bad a job that woman did. I am like you, though--even when I get a bad haircut, I still feel obligated to give a tip. How messed up is that?

That''s the thing! It''s a chain, but the one I''ve gone to since I could afford a $50 haircut

is so freakin nice I feel like I have to dress up to go there. There are 2 of them right by my parents'' house and I figured this one closer to me would be the same. Very chic ladies perfectly styled. Nope!!! Oh well I guess. I thought about calling them, but I don''t know if I have the guts. Anyone want to for me?

Hi sunny,
I am so sorry to hear about your crummy cut - its terrible when this happens.
If I were you and you can work up the courage, I would tell them what was wrong - even if you're not going back, I think about it like at least it may prevent her from doing it to some other victim!

Also, I know its kinda redundant - but I Always bring pics, lots of em. Have done since I was about 15 or so...I find you can never really rely on someone else's perception or taste, yanno? I usually bring a bunch of what I'm after, plus some back up ideas, incase they can't do exactly what you want.

I really hope you like it after the fixer-upper cut..

Sunnyd, I am so sorry you got such a bad haircut.

Post a pic of yourself so we can see the new do....

perhaps we can give you some new styling tips until it grows out....

Ugh! Sorry Sunny! That really is a bummer. Bad haircuts are the worst. I think sometimes we get so excited for new hair that when we don''t end up looking exactly like the celeb style we wanted, that we are really disappointed.

Fortunately, you have a beautiful face, so the hair doesn''t matter so much.

It''ll grow out in no time!

So sorry about the haircut. I''m sure it will look great in no time!

I just saw your last post. Ouch. Well.... good thing is... your wedding isn't this weekend!

Any pics? I'm curious as to what her take on the Nicole Richie bob was!

So sorry! At least it grows back (and I know from bad haircuts that is no consolation at the moment). Never trust a cutter in leopard print pants!

LOL this is my new motto. Don''t mean to offend anyone who owns leopard print jeans though, of course!

I might get brave enough to post a pic later...you gotta see these bangs! I said below the eye, which apparently means eyebrow.

Only post pics if you feel comfortable.

But try to keep it all in perspective you are so pretty, you could wear a mohawk! Lots of ladies would give their right arm to be so pretty

I think it sounds like it could be really rockin. I love the bangs look - I just don''t have enough hair to make it look right.

So you own a good flattening iron? I am currently in love with this hair cut and may go for it at my next appt in a couple weeks. You could modify it to be a bit longer, but I would think you'd have to flat iron it if you don't have naturally straight hair. I think it would be cute on you!
This is Maxie from GH! :) I LOVE her hair. I love the curly version too. I have naturally curly hair so it would never work for me. I so wish it would. Of course she's adorable from head to toe as well and I am not. I want to hate her but I can't. :)

Oooh! Do we have a GH thread? Point me to it. I LOVE that show and have been watching for YEARS! I DVR everyday as well.

Kind of OT from GH, but remember Brenda? How could you not? I just saw Hallmark's Nanny Express with her in it. I love it. I adored her.

Also want to see a pic of the "bad" hair cut, Sunny! I''m sure it''s not even close to as bad as you think it is.

Some pics - I had my bangs pulled straight back today and pinned so they look funnier than normal and hair unstraightened. Who has an hour in the morning to straighten their hair every day?!?!?!

Okay here's stupid hair pic...seriously the bangs. Ugh!!

Sunny~It''s longer than I had imagined! Even if your wedding was next week, a good stylist would be able to do the up-do you want for your wedding. Hard to tell what''s going on with your bangs, but I think if you went into a salon they could fix just the bangs (as in, texture, make it so they''re not just straight across) for less than a whole hair cut. I flat iron my hair every morning (for the most part) and I have a TON of hair and it''s naturally wavy. It takes me seriously less than 5 minutes!! I use a product that takes the frizz out and then blow dry, run flat iron through quick and I''m off. You''re such a cute girl you could pull off any haircut!!
2.gif

You don''t look bad, Sunny! You are so cute! It''s hard to tell from the pictures but I agree that you might be able to at least get the bangs spruced up a bit if you wanted.

I''m sorry to hear you''re disappointed, though.
15.gif
I''ve cried after many a haircut so I completely understand! I have been wanting to do something to my hair for ages but I am too afraid to trust anyone with it, so it just stays long and straight across until I get over my trust issues, I guess.

Burk, 5 minutes?! Wow!! I guess that speaks to the quality of my straightener... hehe.

Thanks Wishful! I''m gonna go fix it this weekend. Blarg!

Yep, less than 5 minutes I promise! Last year when I chopped my hair off I walked out of the salon and was soooo in love with my cut until I tried to style it myself the next day!! So, I marched right back into the salon and asked a lot of questions and asked my stylist to show me how to straighten my particular style. Ended up buying some de-frizzing product (it''s amazing) and headed to a local beauty store to buy myself a better straightening iron. I got one that wasn''t crazy expensive ($90), but higher quality than I had before (target, $30). I cannot even tell you what a difference those two things have made. Please post pics after you go get it "fixed" this weekend.

Burk, that is a BRILLIANT idea!

I am totally going to try that next time. I always love it coming out of the salon but I am inept at doing it myself.

Good luck this weekend, Sunny!

Fix your fringe and you will be all spruced up!

I don''t know why your hairdresser thought a blunt fringe would be good
20.gif
but it does not mean you cannot make it work. A bit of feathering and you will be happy.

You are still beautiful

I think it looks good, that''s a nice length on you! If you really don''t like the bangs maybe you buy a cute clip to hold them back?

The beauty of shorter bangs is how they grow back very quickly! Don''t worry, they''ll grow back in no time!

But, I think the cut is just fine! Give it a week, style it, and you may be surprised with how much you like it!

Good Luck!
