I have to tell you I went to Elegant Lace in SJ too. My salesgirl totally did not click with me at all and made some comments that left me sure I would not return. I guess it just depends on who you get.

Aww... thanks everyone! Now I just need my stuff on ebay to sell, so I don''t have to feel AS guilty for being a three dress bride!

I also booked (without a date...lol) our photographer today. For the Mark Hopkins wedding we had booked a photographer we LOVED and REALLY clicked with. She kept our deposit when things fell through but promised we could use it a) for an engagement shoot or after the wedding shoot or b) as the deposit if we re-booked with her. So we called her up, and she was so happy to hear from us, and our old deposit is now reinstated for our wedding. Which is great, cause it cuts down on deposit stress and overall budget! I''ll post the photographer information as soon as I have a venue booked and things firmed up.

So...

Florist-- check.
Photographer-- check
Dress-- check (pending sale of stuff on ebay)
DOC- check (this was a FIND let me tell you!)
I''ve also found a DJ, but haven''t contacted him yet (thank you DOC!).
Getaway car... may be nixed altogether but DOC is working on it.

Venue???? ARGH! LOL. I asked Wente to PDF me a floor plan that would work with the way we want the room set up. She''s going to get it to my by Thursday. My DOC has worked at Garre, and has some nice suggestions for perking the place up.

theknot local boards gave me some leads on a couple of new venue sites, but in Santa Rosa, that I''m calling for pricing infromation. DOC may also know of a couple of places that may work, but she''s going to do site visits next week. LOVE HER.

This will all come together the minute I get a venue. Keeping my fingers crossed!!

I keep staring at the pic of it. LOL. And I'm obsessively checking the ebay listing (though I had to re-list as it did not sell the first time) hoping it's going to sell so I can buy this one!!!

Thank you GTN! The DOC, is worth EVERY PENNY I sucked away from other budgets. I did NOT want another attendant (just having one) but was concerned about not having enough help in the event of disaster. This is a much better solution than asking someone to be my BM that I don't really want as one, just because I might need the help, plus it leaves everyone free to enjoy the day.

Mara... My coworker had a bad experience there, but I had already gone once and was happy with the girl I had. The second time another girl (my previous one had the day off) named Daisy helped me and she just flat out ROCKED. I'm really happy I decided to run over there in the middle of a storm. LOL. Thanks for the dress compliments, I can't WAIT to wear it. As for pics, Daisy got her camera for me, took pics of me in the dressing room, so no one would know, so I could see what I looked like in pics, then erased the pics (which is why I know the rating). She just happened to have her camera with her though, so she wasn't really supposed to do it. But the other girl told me that if I brought my camera I would be ablet o take pics, they just would ask me to erase them before I left. Which was okay with me. Not ideal, but okay... especially as there is no way I could have posted the pics of me in the ONE on anywhere that calls itself a family friendly site. LOL. The sample was a 10 so it was gaping in the back... and then we tucked the straps... and I'm a D cup and the dress was NOT and it was NOT PG. At least, not the PG I grew up with.

Okay.

A "day of coordinator" is a wedding coordinator who only comes in to help you on the day of your wedding. They don''t (typically) help you plan and negotiate and all of that jazz BEFORE your wedding. But on the actual day of your wedding they follow your timeline (and make sure you and everyone else do to), your instructions for the vendors you''ve hired (and make sure they do too), and tend to any and all emergencies that arise. Like-- a go to person, so that the bride and groom, and thier families and their wedding party don''t have to worry about anything (except the DOC...lol).

Yes, dear, I meant the isolation part. Not the tundra. I'm well aware that the 40 degree temperatures out here and the drizzle are something you all would kill for about now.
