I have a couple of people on ignore, but not you. I've never been a prolific poster anyway, and like Matata, I spend most of my time elsewhere talking about politics and things going on in the world. Miss you @Calliecake , and others.

Kenny, whilst we are not aligned in all ways, I believe we are aligned in the ways that truly matter to me. As such - I will never not value your opinion.

I have periodically used the ignore functionality here.

Once I put someone on ignore… and in another thread a few weeks later I saw a notification that this individual had said something that was hidden to me. I decided to read what had been written and found myself nodding vehemently. People’s thoughts and values are almost always multidimensional - there are extremely few people whom I want to never acknowledge or interact with!

But seriously, yes, I agree. Even though there are posters here who hold views I vehemently disagree with there are times I also strongly agree with them. Humans are complicated beings with complex thought processes and agreeing with everyone all the time would be boring.

Though on the animal issue I wish human being would be kinder and more compassionate
 
I don’t need an “ignore” button - that is what my brain is for. I dislike quite a few posts that people make but I either SOB or post what I think. Some posters are not worth my time or effort but I don’t need to voice that online - that’s what age and hopefully wisdom gives me.

Another nope here! I enjoy your posts but I too am usually late to the party and have nothing new to add so I don’t. Plus, it’s summer and I’m outside all the time deadheading my flowers.
 
Nope not on ignore here either :) I just don't have a lot to say or share usually so I mostly just lurk. Occasionally if there's a post that makes me want to answer. I will. But mostly I like to just read and expand my horizons when the people who are much smarter than I post. Because I usually learn something new.

I have sometimes fallen asleep scrolling down pages or had a cat/dog/rooster bump me and accidentally report posts on another site. Also accidentally followed pages, requested to "friend" people, posted blank posts, and I don't know what all else :eek-2::lol:. Always good to double check!

Actually I didn't but I was dying to say that. I do have some people on ignore based on my 'life is too short' philosophy, but you haven't made that particular cut, Kenny.

I'm rarely on PS these days, just bc I have a couple of extremely difficult life issues going on, one of which involves being an end-of-life caregiver and lots of travel for that. It's a perfect storm of very cliched middle-age issues.

@Matata You know I'm one of the ones who breathed a massive sigh of relief when politics was canceled, but I just want to say - again - that it wasn't due to the mere existence of political discussion, it was the fact that Hangout became utterly swamped with politics. People started multiple threads about the same thing. It was a tidal wave which drowned Hangout in politics and blotted out everything else about it. It became a totally different forum. There was no balance, no restraint, no room for anything else. It completely took over. That's why I was so glad politics was gone, not that I objected to any and all political discussion. For me, it proved we can't have politics here because it will affect 75 percent of the forum, which isn't fair and upsets the eco-balance of having a range of topics on the go. And it was also a textbook demo of how crazed people get about politics. Those are the reasons I was so glad it was banned. It was way, way too much. Sometimes I too wish we could discuss certain matters, but that period of time showed that we can't have nice things.

I thought I had missed the deadline to vote in the poll, but it actually still works! I don't think I have ever put you or anyone on ignore. I definitely know we don't agree on some things, but I generally stay out of hangout and just ignore topics that are contentious. I have been really crazy busy the last year or so and haven't been on here as much, but when I do, I check Rocky Talky, Show Me the Bling, and Pre-loved, because the real reason I joined here in the first place was to enjoy being with fellow jewelry and diamond lovers!
 
I may disagree on one thread, and agree on another. thus, I don't put others on ignore as a general rule. I'm no angel myself.

And someone has gotta be hella special for me to go to that length...lol

Not saying you're not special @kenny just that you're not THAT kind of special.

In fact I love your threads & posts, I get flashbacks to a dear friend who lived in San Francisco, we would meet up when I was in Manhattan, NY. I visited him in SF a couple of times, and fell in love with the city.
