I am super excited about a new little pink! My ideas are all over the place, but I’m open to anything. As of right now the two top contenders are a moi et toi or east-west bezel. Details to follow, but PLEASE give me your thoughts – all ideas are welcome!

Moi et toi… I *think* I like Pinkie and a pear parallel. Also open to a marquis or round in lieu of a pear – or really anything else too (asscher… lozenge… other?).

For the bezel set, I’m thinking east-west rose gold on a (brushed?) platinum band.

Other?!?

Pinkie is 5.25 x 3.73, so approximately 6.85 x 5.33 with the bezel (and the "with bezel" size is what I've cut the mock up stone to be).

toi et moi for sure! And I’m so glad a PSer got this stone! I almost bought it myself. It’s so beautiful and I can’t wait to see what you do with it!

Thank you for weighing in!

Do you think a pear for the second stone or maybe something else... ?

Here it is next to a .35 round. The round is super white BTW, it's just reflecting Pinkie.

This but with a sharper stone.
Like a turned princess or trilliant or triangle.
They are both soft stones in shape and personality.

I really love this! And I think the Pear shape goes so well with that elongated cushion. Would you set in a combo of white and rose gold?

Personally, I would set it in a Gypsy setting in North-South orientation, with two round side stones either colourless or with a hint of green in White Gold, so as to provide good finger coverage.

If I were to choose between the other two options, I would opt for the East-West bezel setting as it looks better on your finger IMHO.

White gold would be my preference to bring out the peach in the stone.

Personal preferences and all that.

DK :))

I love the toi et moi with the pear; I think it looks very balanced and interesting on your finger :) What are the dimensions of the pink, please?

I like Karl's idea of the turned princess. Or an Asscher kite-set.
What a fun and beautiful project! Have you said where Pinkie came from?

I like the pear, but I would probably make it more like a bypass instead of having the stones as far apart as they are in your mock up.

Omg I love this color. SO pretty , it will be fabulous whatever you decide to do with it.

I loooove the pear! Looks great! Nice shape contrast

I love your original mock up!

Sprinkles, being so close to Ilya is suppppppper dangerous!!!

Stormy, I’m intrigued by the sharper stone idea. I did toy with adding a dark grey radiant instead of a white diamond and played around quite a bit with the cut-n-paste shape. Still thinking…

Lonysis, for the moi et toi I would do Pinkie in a rose gold bezel and the white diamond and band in platinum. If I go east / west I’d do the bezel in rose and band in platinum.

DK, I actually have two 1/3 ct stones from when I had my eternity band remade with bezels. I’ll get those out and put them beside my cut out mock-up and see!

Margauxmines, the pear idea is growing on me! The pink is 5.25 x 3.73, .5 ct.

Ibrakeforpossums, Pinkie came from Ivy and Rose. Poor Ilya – I’m sure he just rolls his eyes when I send and email staying I’ll be stopping by to look at something, LOL.

Lookingagain, interesting! I’ll try putting my cut-out stones stones on my figure in this type of configuration.

YadaYadaYada, thank you! I’m really pleased with the color – it is visible pink, even in this small size. I prefer the peachy pinks to the bubble gum pinks on my skin.

AprilBaby, I keep going back to that version too!

I could see it as the center stone in a shield ring, maybe with rose gold prongs or bezel around it.

I don't like most moi et toi rings (unless the stones are the right size and very well matched), so that's out for me. I think both examples you posted are going to be smallish compared to your other rings. A pink diamond really needs a special setting to compliment it, in my opinion.

I think any colored stone and especially a colored diamond is enhanced by white stones or metal surrounding it. @seaurchin gave you some examples. Here are a few more. Just imagine the shape as a cushion in some of them!

oval diamond pink ring in white gold.jpg

How about a ring design like this one?
Perhaps a rose or yellow gold band instead of white gold and have the setting claw setting for the diamond in rose gold like the one shown in the photo.
You can use white diamonds or white sapphires or white topaz to show case your pink diamond.

And how about this one?

Its set in yellow gold and as you can see no claws to hold the pink diamond, but, a bezel type of setting.

I immediately thought halo too. I think it needs some pizzazz to jazz it up and I would love it with a white diamond halo of some sort.

And this one I think would be really lovely for your pink diamond.

Classic and simple. And elegant at the same time.

Perhaps a six prong setting instead of the four prong?

You could place some small blue stones like a blue sapphire or small blue diamond near or on the prongs to highlight the pink of your pink diamond.

Or some blue stones amongst the white diamonds along the shank of your ring,

Personally I like this one the best. ;-)

Whatever design that you choose I'm sure will be lovely. :D

Yes.
Perhaps have the bezel setting in rose gold?
And the rest of your ring in either yellow or white gold.

And a three stone band idea.

This one has a ruby in it, but, you can picture it with your pink diamond instead.

Instead of the yellow gold have the prongs and shank in rose gold.

And perhaps have the accent stones smaller.

Two small Ceylon blue sapphires would look lovely and showcase your pink diamond or you could choose Aquamarine as well.

Sometimes the most simple designs are the loveliest.

Looking forward to seeing what you finally pick! :D

Bezel definitely in rose gold in any of the settings I posted. I neglected to say that in my earlier post.

Good to know.
And I 100% agree.
I think rose gold is a must to showcase a pink diamond or any pink stone in your ring.

If you choose the pear I too agree that a bypass ring design would be a better choice.

I like them apart, as in a cuff ring. I think that has more drama, the negative space.
Different ideas - that's why you come here.

My vote would be for a moi et toi/cuff style ring with the pink diamond EW and a hexagon-type diamond NS.
