I am still debating whether to set my elongated pink Imperial Topaz (9.23ct measuring 8.58 x 14.22mm) as a ring or a pendant, as it is a big stone similar in size to the OP's lovely green Beryl!
These are my inspirations as a ring and a pendant, more likely to be a pendant, as it may be too big as a ring even for me!

Nice! I'd keep the setting minimal since the stone is so large already.
Thanks @dk168 for sharing your inspirations. I recently got an even bigger jadeite cab ring... and you know how jadeite can shrink most other stones like how @mellowyellowgirl experienced...
My new jadeite ring:
The beryl is definitely smaller than this ring
Agree! I feel like a simple design will do better too. Else too OTT. Plus the stone feels cool and calm you know? So a more simple design, probably no complicated halo.
That's MASSIVE!
I only have one ring that big, which is a Sea of Cortez mabe in a diamond halo, and it seldom comes out of the drawer as blingy events are far and between these days.

Along similar ideas posted by @missy, how about step cut trillions on either side?
I would probably opt for lab/MMDs to save on cost myself for mine.

Love this ring and bracelet on you!
Love the jade bangle and ring combination!
I am likely to have my cheapo jelly Welo Opal set in a metal halo in Rhodium-plated Silver for casual wear. The Opal was a steal via Opal Auctions, and I can't justify spending a lot on its setting.

@icy_jade Ouros has trillions side stones, however, they are brilliant cut and not step cuts.
Vijay's Moissy shop as in Golden Bird, has chubby baguette as in carré cut listed on his site.
In case you have not seen them (I can't remember from the other thread, sorry!).

I really like the two inspiration pictures you shared, but I wonder if part of the appeal of them is the darker colors of the center stone. Aquamarine inspiration should get you to a subdued color but still tons of emerald cuts.
@dk168
Do you think Vijay can custom the setting for me with the side stones (moissy or MMD) if I give him the stone specs? would you recommend that?
IMHO, I would not risk it, based on my limited experience with what I would consider as simple customisations so far. I may change my mind pending on the outcome of my latest request/project with him for a pair of dangling drops (just the drops) in 6mm OEC Moissy.
I may go back to my original plan to get the 6mm OEC Moissys and send them to the bench I use in China, as they are used to my designs and thinking, if you know what I mean.
At this moment in time, I would advice for you to decide on the cut and size of the side stones, and ask him to cut a pair for you, for the stones to be set elsewhere.
Not sure if you are having prongs or bezels, however, there had been reports of his bezels not being too great, and I have seen examples on his shops when I thought the bezels are a bit rough/wonky.
Personal opinions and all that.

Alternatively, here are some elongated emeralds that I've been drooling over:
Edit: Credit for images goes to Greenlake and to Lang.
Hey thanks and appreciate your honesty and advice. I’m thinking tab prongs... never been a bezel fan.
@icy_jade Can you tell us more about the new jade ring? It's spectacular!!
