IDJ Rocks My World, Again. U Prong Eternity Band!

Now, as some of you may know, DSS happens to the best of us and I was already working with a small e-ring center stone (though a family heirloom so really, priceless). I needed to find a band that would give me the sort of bling I've been looking for. I tried on a million and one bands at every jewelry store I passed but never really found the 'right' band. Through all of this, I kept coming on to pricescope to chat, see everyone's gorgeous new bling, drool, you know- the usual, and it finally struck me, 'what about an eternity ring!'.

I obsessively poured over every eternity band thread I could find and quickly decided that I loved the u prong bands. I went into IDJ (who I will now be forever loyal to) and started trying on eternity bands in person for size, I must have driven Monique and Yekutiel insane, but still kept going back until I finally decided on a 2.1 carat (.10) VG/EX cut, SI, F/G band.

Now, I've read those threads that say that you shouldn't really get a band that overshadows your e-ring in size, this one is definitely disproportionate in a sense, but I think it looks just perfect with a little yellow gold stacker in between. I'm madly in love.

We got my partners ring made there as well, will have to start a whole new topic for that one as well!

Beautiful - and a great look with the spacer band! Ordinarily I wouldn't care for a band larger than the ering but your pairing is quite the exception! Really beautiful!

I think your new band looks absolutely fine with your *Grace* (one of my all time favorite settings!) Proportion is in the eye of the beholder/wearer/owner and I for one think that ten pointers are the goldilocks size for band rings. Love them! Separate or together, your rings look fabulous. And isn't it just fun shopping at IDJ? I somehow have found myself there once a month lately and I can't seem to break the habit! (and I don't want to!)

Yes!! I know exactly what you mean- I could visit on the daily if I didn't think it would drive them nuts. Haha!
I'm already planning my next bling project and can't wait to get started... Just a few months and I'll have an excuse to pop by on the regular again .
