"If I won the lottery " Pearl Edition

I just can't justify the $5500 expense right now- but I love this necklace.

Adding two new yummy rings I saw!

I have been coveting work I’ve seen from a few Japanese jewelers…but Shinkai makes stuuuunning designs with pearls

So cool, thanks for sharing! Unfortunately super far away from me. Also, the original Basra were natural pearls afaik, which would of course add to the astronomical price tag, which is why it’s a “lottery win” item for me. Still, if this farm manages to improve their processes this would definitely be an affordable alternative!!

A natural strand would be a lottery splurge for me too. Your heirloom bracelet is a very special piece!

This is… Hauntingly lovely. I feel like those butterflies have so many stories to tell.

I asked about getting a print but they don’t make them :(sad

Probably a significantly sized Basra pearl necklace. My mom has a small Basra pearl bracelet that was passed down from my great grandmother, I would love to get a satlada (seven lines) necklace made entirely of small Basra pearls to go with it.

Well that would be dreamy. I'd love to see your Mother's bracelet. Small things pack a big punch.

Bracelet is in India, plus I’m not sure she would be okay with me sharing pics on the Internet. The pearls are very small, like seed pearls almost. Still, natural pearls!

for drooling purposes, here’s the picture of the nizam of Hyderabad’s famous Basra Pearl satlada. It has clasps made of polki (uncut diamond) and cut diamond. The picture is kind of yellow, so I unsuccessfully tried to fix the colour balance etc. The pearls would be a creamy white in real life, and the two clasps (which look empty right now) have a large, clear, shimmery polki each!
