a final ugrade for my e-ring to a 2.00-2.25 ct. princess

a one carat pear pendant

a 2 ct. asscher or emerald cut right hand ring

and most important, a .77 beautifully cut marquise to replace the one my mother had to sell from her original wedding ring. After her and my father divorced, she had to sell hers to make ends meet for awhile. She misses it incredibly, and if I had more money, I would replace it for her!

I would put my order in for a 3 to 3.5 Radiant or Modern Cushion!!! That would do for now!!

Thanks for the "shrinkness" definition!

Cheers,
Jaz

3 carat cushion does it for me! (I have large hands!)

I think I would have to say a 4-6 CT Radiant, Asscher or Cushion in a Michael B pave setting.

I''d love a bigger radiant or cushion (2.5-3 ct) but I would never want them on a ring. I''d want to make a pendant. I find my 1.20 ct radiant just perfect for my fingers. I never thought I''d get anything this size. Originaly I was looking more in the .7 range so the 1.2 still seems huge to me. On a smaller scale, I''d love a 1 carat ACA or Ideal round surrounded with pave pendant (aka-the ritani endless love look.)

I dream in yellow. A 5 carat vivid yellow EC ring is my dream rock!

Representing small stone lovers

, I think my ideal would be around a .50 to .60 carat in a ring. For a pendant, maybe a nice 1 carat pear!

Yeah!! Hooray small stones!!!

I don''t want anything larger than a 1ct RB for my hands. An Asscher, I''d go to 1.5 on the hand. My dream one day is a .75-1ct Asscher star-set pendant, a .5 or lower cushion RHR, maybe .8 tcw RB studs....

And I''ll never change my .375 pear e-ring!! Luckily, I still think it''s huge!

Fun topic!

I think for a RB, I would love a 2.5-2.75 ct stone. I tried on a 2.6(something) and it looked sooooooo nice.

I would also love a Royal Asscher in the 2.5 to 3 ct range with trapezoids on the side, done by Leon Mege.

Ahhh, a girl can dream.

Morticia and I have the exact same taste in size and rings.....I''d probably put the RA in more of a solitaire-looking mounting though, maybe the cartier reproduction? and I''d also have to add a nice big Cushion in a pave split shank.

I think the biggest that I would ever probably want is 1.5. and it still seems a wee bit too big.

I used to think the sky was the limit but for my fingers(4.75-ish) somewhere between 4.5cts to 9cts. might be my Goldilocks, ''just right'' spot(lower end of the range for round and oval...upper end for square & rectangular cuts.)

I tried on a 12ct oval cz ring recently and it was actually monstrous. Not like "Oh this is too big but I could get used to it" but "Get it off me!"-too large.

I didn''t think it was possible!

If someone gave me a diamond that size, it would have to be set as a pendant or re-cut for a ring. Now I know how some men feel about breast reduction surgery!

Jax:

Now there is a question.

Quite honestly, I am not a ring person; and I doubt that this is just because I am a guy...

But your question is intreging....

I could see myself with a nice chain and pendant.

I also like technology and outragous items.

So, combining that with what is being developed on the "cultured" diamond side of the business. I think having a major dimensions of 3" x 6" solid diamond pendant (a single diamond at 3" x 6") with the right pattern would be downright cool.... Icy white, and flawless would be a bonus...

I believe that within 10 years that such a diamond will be available for purchase.

Why not think BIG ! Who knows how many carats it would be.... Lots...

3-5 carats would be my fantasy. probably a royal asscher or squarish cushion cut.

I would enjoy a 10 to 12 carat marquise.

your right Madam Bijoux. A fantasy, fantasy stone--- yeh bigger than a 5 carat. i''ve changed my mind.

OH OH>..

I was at Tiffany & Co. this passt weekend....
I just saw the most beautiful greyish blue colored Emerald Cut diamond (1.55ct) in a 3 stone setting with trapezoid sidestones.... it totally drew me deep into the stone... I think I was lost in it and out of this world for a good 20 seconds...

so I say: a grey-bluish emerald cut diamond stone of..... 2 ct!!

mmmm what a question!

I would love a 3.5c round brilliant for my ''final'' stone on my e-ring...

I would also love a 5c asscher...mmmm for the right hand ring!
I went to Romans today to try on a few things. And the sales lady had Your ring. I think her side stone might have been a bit bigger (they look to be about 12-15pts) but her center stone was prolly a about 11-13mm across and it was stunning in that setting. Some settings cannot carry off a larger stone, but wow it looked really pretty! I was trying soo hard not to drool!

For me I think the stone size would depend on the setting.

a 2.5ct rb will do it for me.i''m not too greedy .

a 2.5 carat rb looks the most real and proportional on my finger with still having that "holy rock" feeling. anything square i could go higher :)

Every shape means different sizes to me...I would love BIG, I have shrinkage from my upgrade already...but I would love big rounds for earrings, (4-5 carats each, I have long curly hair and you cannot see them otherwise wink wink) set in the basket on a wire someone posted a while ago...a gorgeous round of good size for a pendant, aybe 4 or so, and for a right hand ring, a large cushion or asscher, again 4-5 carats depending on the cut parameters. I am not a cheap date...to my husband''s dismay!!!! But this is all in good fun, I have some great pieces and will hope to add on in the future...

A 4 carat pear! How nice would that be???
