I am deciding between two lab diamonds that both have great proportions and look good on video, but one is labeled "Hearts and Arrows" on its IGI certificate, whereas the other does not have this designation. IGI seems to have begun using this label in early 2020, and both of these diamonds were certified after this time, so both would have been theoretically eligible to receive a "hearts + arrows" designation. Does anyone know the exact date when IGI began doing this? Also, are all IGI-certified diamonds considered for this designation, so that if a diamond certified recently does *not* have H+A it is therefore definitely *not* a H+A diamond?
I ask because both diamonds seem equivalently good, but the H+A designation is causing me to lean towards the first. Here are the two diamonds with their respective certificates if you're interested. Thanks!
