I''m keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Ebree,

I am SO glad you let that one go. It smelled of trouble/anxiety/major headache, for nothing. Keep us updated on the situation. I know you are going to find someone that is terrific and can work with you for your price range.

In any case, I really feel that the work of a photographer is highly dependent on their intrest and enthusiasm for the project...happy photographer= more creative pretty pictures. Good luck!

Thanks Ally! She was definite trouble. It''s Friday, and I still haven''t received anything from her (when she promised she''d email me Wednesday), not that I''d hire her anyway. I actually have three new possibilities, and my #1 choice is sending me her package info on Monday (she''s super busy preparing for a wedding she had 7 days notice for!). The other two are at budget (under, actually!) and are just as good if not better than the original. So, I''m feelin'' good.

I''m delighted to hear this.

Photographers are like diamonds......there''s always more than one that will thrill you, and you have to find one that sings to you.

There are two elements to most products......the product itself and the service that supports it. They can have a great product, but if their delivery or support sucks, it''s a bad choice. If they have a bad product, but great service, it''s a bad choice. The key is finding someone who offers good product and good service.

Good luck!

Thank you, alj. I know, I should have kicked her to the curb days (weeks?) ago, but I was blinded by love for her style. Sounds silly, but photography is so important to me.

Believe me, we''re in the same camp on that one. Not silly at ALL. Photography was the single most important thing to me (aside from getting married). I''m a HUGE photography nut.....to this extreme: I chose the time of day for my ceremony based on when the sun would be in the best position for photos!

Thing is.....for me, it''s the one thing that''s left after the day is only a memory. The one thing that captures that day is the photographs. They are the way you relive that day and its magic over and over again. Videos are only watched occasionally, but photos on the wall will be seen every day.

So yeah, I totally get it how important it is. And that''s why I wanted to make sure you weren''t just assuming she got your emails. It would be a shame to miss out on a GREAT photographer (kick someone to the curb) based on mistaken assumptions.

That said, you''ve since been able to confirm she''s just an airhead and not reliable, and I think it''s great that you''ve moved on to someone who will do justice to this once-in-a-lifetime day.

Ha! Just got an email from the previous photographer.

Tell her to go where the sun don''t shine...she won''t need any light because she ain''t doin'' your wedding!!!!

lol TG...

i agree photography is super important as i have a love of a certain style or ''look'' as well, and with a budget sometimes it''s hard, but there''s not gonna be any lovin'' of style if she don''t show up at the wedding!!! hehee

Well, in light of that, I''d say this:

I don''t think she''s trying to avoid you. I think she just doesn''t have her ca-ca straightened out, and that''s a bad sign for you.

People like this are the same ones that run out of batteries or forget film and miss half of your important shots. People like this are the ones who forget your "must take" list of photos.

Glad you''ve found other alternatives.
