Well, before you get too excited I have NO pictures yet and promise with all my heart I will post some when I get some! the wedding went perfectly. The only problem was with the airports (if anyone has flown this weekend you know what I talk about) My inlaws had a lay-over in cinci (from columbus oh) and after hours of delays they boarded and then UNBOARDED their plane. They ended up renting a car and driving to Milwaukee! The RD was wonderful. My MIL planned it perfectly. I was so calm the day of the wedding. Everyone couldn''t believe it (I coundn''t either). I loved my make-up and hair (much more than the trial). The rest of the wedding party wasn''t so happy but I thought everyone looked beautiful. The only time I got emotional was when our photographers set up our meeting before the ceremony (if anyone remembers how worried I was about crying through my vows I totally suggest this. I was so calm and collected for the ceremony and tested my water proof make-up at our meeting) plus I am sure it is a great photo op. He totally surprised me by giving me diamond and sapphire huggies. He already gave me my wedding gift early (diamond earrings) so I was totally caught off gaurd. He was so sweet about it too.
So of course I cried. He couldn''t believe how beautiful I looked and loved my dress, hair, everything. The flowers looked EXACTLY like the picture I showed her. They were so beautiful they almost looked fake. We got married on the golf course and had a flower arch and little kissing balls lining the aisle. I had a pretty long hike down the aisle and semi tripped on the lining of the dress but it was no big deal. Everyone I saw (though it was a blur) were crying. I thought that was so sweet. My dad did a good job of keeping me laughing. Our friend did a reading and my sister sang and she sounded beautiful. We also had a fluist and piano player. Our officiant was a family friend who got appointed as a court commissioner for the wedding (he is a lawyer). He did SUCH a great job. Really perfect for us. We both got through the vows without stumbling (and there were some tough words in there
) Once we were pronounced we walked down the aisle and came up the side to "release" the rows. This way we KNEW we personally thanked everyone. It did take a little longer this way but the weather was perfect. 80 degrees not too hot, not too cold. Just beautiful, we got so lucky. I did get a little emotional when I saw my Colombian sister (I lived with her family when I was 13 and hadn''t seen her in so long) She was shaking and so excited to see me so I was very touched. Then everyone went inside for the cocktail hour and we did more pictures. I can''t wait to see their pictures but they said it would take a month
Some of the stuff seemed kind of goofy at the time but I am sure it will look different in the photographs. Finally we did the grand march to U2''s "beautiful day" and went right into our first dance, Etta Jame''s "at last" I was SOOO nervous and we did mess up a few times but I don''t think anyone could notice. Everyone was hooting and clapping and very impressed with our moves. The speeches were perfect and nice and short
Dinner was so good even though we barely had time to eat. My inlaws did a photo montage video of our recent pics, proposal pics, and baby ones. Everyone loved that. People were coming up to me all night telling me how this was the best wedding they had been too so that meant a lot. The cake also looked JUST like the picture and was so good (we already ate the top layer since we don''t live locally and were flying back) cutting it was akward since we didn''t really know what we were doing. One of the photographers said that was a good sign and gets worried when the bride and groom know exactly what they are doing. At midnight we took a limo downtown to the nicest hotel in Milwaukee (my parents actually stayed there on their wedding night) in a suite. My husband (sounds so strange!) was so excited they had 24 hour room service and ordered a pizza
We ended up waking up around 7:00 am because we were too excited to sleep. We just kept talking about the wedding and how great it was. I guess that is everything. I am now a married lady
