Ah I'm so happy! My dad is so impressed with how well the ring turned out, especially compared to the ring before. It's a lot shinier and it looks vintage but not 1989 like before.

What a stone! Can't see any bowtie at all! And I love that setting. It's so unique.

The prongs will sometimes make it look like it has bow tie when the light hits at a certain angle, but that's it! Otherwise, that's it! It's a prong thing and not a diamond thing!

I took advantage of the overcast day! I'm getting used to having a ring now! I felt like I was playing dress up yesterday but now it's feeling more natural.

My dad saw it on me in person and he loves it. I haven't seen my mom since I've been engaged because she's at the cabin (my parents are still together.)

I'm one of the first of my friends to get engaged (I'm 22) so all my friends are asking for ring photos and they've never seen one like mine which is pretty neat!

Thank you! It has been so strange to be engaged. I'm finally at the point where the ring is becoming part of me and it doesn't feel like a costume.

Now, I just need to get on planning a wedding! We are hoping on next August, and venues book quickly!

Yes- that would be interesting. I really love the design because it's so beautiful and it's low-profile and great for marquise stones!

I LOVE this ring, setting, stone, everything about it! I can't believe it's "only" .7 ct, it looks so much larger on your hand and has incredible presence! The style is unique and gorgeous, and I love that you used your mom's diamond.

I agree! I don't have small fingers either; this ring is a size 7.5! Maqruise diamonds have the advantage of being shallow so they face up HUGE!

I have a size 7 and I always feel like I can't pull off anything smaller than 1ct, but this is a great reminder about how different shapes really behave differently on the finger. Congrats again!

Don't feel awkward asking- it's totally fine to ask! I have big fingers and I actually got it a teeny bit loose because I think it's easier to size down instead of size up! And Marquise can be cheaper because they are less popular and they are more shallow by weight so they face up larger.

I think some people also use earring diamonds for rings and those are more shallow too.
