Ladies I just love y'all!
OMG! I'm getting married!!!!
Last night I had dinner with two of my best friends (one I had already seen and the other I hadn't yet) and we had the best time talking about things. My fiance and I would really like to have a destination wedding in the California wine country. So of course my friends and I are just going crazy over the possible ideas...they said that I can't do anything in Houston, because they want to go to Napa. One friend got me the cutest engagement gift...its a Christmas ornament of a giant engament ring with Santa & Mrs. Claus sitting in the ring like a swing...its so cute, and so perfect since we have a holiday engagement. Then when I went to the bathroom and came back they were talking, and said they were obsessing over how gorgeous my ring is. I just love it. One friend wants me to design hers when her BF is ready to make that step.
Oh and one of my favorite details that I keep forgetting to mention: I love the double claw prongs...they are so tiny that they get hidden with all the sparkle from the diamond! I keep having to look closely to make sure they are still there. And of course I've been cleaning it every day for maximum sparkle.
H-town girls: How does Tuesday (12/27) or Wednesday (12/2
work for y'all? We can go to Brazil to celebrate. Oh and we can have a ring exchange...how fun!
re the flower shot: In all the excitement I compeletely forgot about it. I got about 3 pics at his apt and then my camera died, and I managed to charge it enough for pics at dinner. And since we went out of town I didn't have a chance to take any. I'll have to go buy some red roses today and pretend they are the proposal roses. I'm such a bad PSer.
Starset: thank you so much, I'm in love the wax too...obviously since I was crazy enough to make cut out for my finger.
jenwill: I'm actually debating whether or not to change the avatar, but I don't have a favorite picture yet...maybe one of the granite pics from the hotel.
dani: it is so fun exciting, and I'm constantly on the go, I haven't even had time to read a whole bridal magazine!
deco: I don't sleep with any jewelry except for my earrings. Every night I take off the ring and put it the WF box...its the ring's second home. The worst is when I have to wash my hands and I'm not at home, b/c I don't want to get soap scum on it. So if I'm at work I'll take it off and set it on the counter, if I'm somewhere else, I'll wait until I can sit down take it off and then use hand sanitizer.
kberly: My face hurts from smiling, but I just can't stop...my arm is getting sore too from contstantly holding it up to show off the ring.
CGN: Thank you! That really means a lot, especially from a guy. My next project will be a sapphire RHR.

I''ve been cleaning it every morning for maximum sparkle...and I''ve been testing different methods...my water/amonia mix vs the WF sparkle sparkle. They both work great, the sparkle sparkle is faster and doesn''t smell bad, so I''ll probably use that one daily.
I''m already starting to obsess over the w-band. The plan for it is to be sort of matching. One sided pave with engraving on the sides and of course milgrain. I don''t know if I should have it be the same width as my e-ring or a tad thinner since it can be 2mm.
Oh and one co-worker that knew his stuff thought my diamond was an F/G...I started laughing at him and told him it was an "I" he didn''t believe me. Another guy thought it was 3 carats--that made me feel really good!
I''m starting to put out the Napa feelers for wedding information, so if anyone has any, I''ll appreciate any recommendations.

Danielle: Its crazy! I can''t believe I''ve been engaged for a week, well almost...tonight it will be a week! We are just so happy.
