I sure do love that song...I wonder if there's a correlation between the number of years I have been married and the joy I feel when I play that song! SO... I NAPPED! Then went over to my grandparents home for the afternoon and evening. And now today is my first dress fitting. Negotitations with the alternate wedding venue are FINALLY progressing to the point where I MAY have this wedding thing worked out, back on track and on schedule... and oh yeah... I FEEL SO MUCH BETTER. I can tell you though, I am going to need this week off. I need to de-compress. It felt very good telling her off, she was power tripping and I was just like... Nope. I really kept my tone pleasant and professional, because I didn''t want to sink to her level, just wanted to make my point. And I''m glad I didn''t lose it or anything because now I have no regrets. Good riddance!

The ladies had chosen a really lovely italian restuarant and she hates Italian (I know, how can you hate Italian!) and she would have been complaining the whole time if she came. I think its funny that she thought she was somehow getting back at me by dropping out of the lunch... when really the best revenge she could have had was to ATTEND!

Lucky-- well, she was invited, and she cancelled only about an hour before. And we went out, and there was no information about it, just 9 ladies invited out to lunch. So they squeaked under the radar.

Gypsy, in my absentee-ness I didn't even know you got another job...how exciting and congrats!!!

I expect you feel pretty similarly to how I did when I told my ex-demon-boss at my last company off, and then handed her my resignation the next morning as she opened her mouth for yet another tirade. I was like...I seriously am too old and have done too much to take this #*!&@. I didn't have another job lined up, but Greg was actually the one who told me I just had to leave that place, so supportive.

I found the job I am at, and have loved for over a year now, after a wonderful month off between jobs....so stuff DOES work out for the best! About 2 months after I left my last company, they finally got rid of ex-demon-boss after pulling all her employees from her, and then forcing her to work from home all the time, so that she eventually got the hint & found another job. You can only hope that honestly, people like this find the psychiatric help they need...but who knows.

Congrats on standing up for yourself and heading to something hopefully fabulous next.
