Yea I think it''s mandatory evac there. Which sucks. I should have mine shipped today assuming I approve photos.

Same here...if I had approved the pic then I would have received it tomorrow. Now it might take a week, depending on the hurricane and the lost of electricity.

Here''s the update I got from Bob...they plan on re-doing the setting and will ensure that the diamond is set straight. They will also ensure that the diamond is set lower and the prongs are curved.

He even asked me if I wanted the DVatché x-prong setting because he can get it for me (I wasn''t aware they can do that)...but I told him that I couldn''t care less as long as it looks exactly like it.

They will be losing power soon so Bob doesn''t know when it will be ready. Most people have left and heading up North and he even told me some are flying to NYC! Anyways he didn''t seem worried at all.

Thanks to everyone for the great feedback!!!

I''ll keep you posted if I get any news.

I just read through this thread. i''m so glad Wf is taking care of it for you. I was thinking "why didn''t you just get the Vatche setting." I''m one of those people that think if you love a designer setting it''s worth it to get the real deal. If bob can get it for you, why not get the real thing? then it will be exactly what you want

I think their stuff gets picked up for shipment at like 6pm TX time or something so honestly who knows if the mail will even get out today..they may not be doing shipments!!

Radiant lover..curious but did you see/approve the wax for this? If so, how ''off'' was the final product in pictures. I always believe in approving a wax even if it takes longer to get the ring. It saves alot of time and $$$ for everyone all around.

If what you want is EXACTLY like it, then you should just buy the DVatche setting.

Most of the vendors here will tell you they cannot make an EXACT replica of someone else's setting due to legal restrictions in intellectual property law.

Mrs Salvo & Alj -When I first contacted WF and requested the Dvatché x-prong setting for my ring, I was told that they can make an exact replica (I understood this to mean that they no longer sold the Dvatché line as indicated in some of the threads I've read here on PS). I've always wanted the DVatché X-prong setting but I couldn't care less if my ring was inscribed with the name DVatché. I just loved the look of it. I have to admit that I was surprised when I was told today that they can order it.

Mara -This is not a custom-made setting so I didn't expect a wax from them...it wasn't even suggested to me.

I'll let you know more when I hear back from Bob.

RL I''m truly glad you had your situation resolved. I love to see a company providing outstanding customer service as no one is infallible and mistakes occur but it is how they rise to the occaison to right a wrong that makes the world of difference. Excellent choice with the stone and setting by the way, I love it!

Sounds great! I can''t wait to see your finished ring! Love the radiant cut

Pretty much the same thing happened to me with WF recently. I was anticipating the pictures and hoping when I saw them, I would just love the ring. We they did come it was more like "that's not what I had pictured at all".

The pics I received were very similar to yours except my stone is round. I wanted something similar to the Vatche x-prong but with a few modifications. It was closer to the Vatche than I wanted. They did lower the stone for me though.

I spoke with WF and they are making a new setting now with my specifications
